So you don't have the pilot and wanta buy one. Thus don't have the ship and have to buy it without having the pilot and therefore don't have the knowledge in how the ship works. Then find a friendly system which says you don't have one picked out and get someone to cyno you in and let you rat and sell the goods off?

Sure sounds sane.
