And I'd be quite happy to see PvP'ers remain in the closet. Can't think of nothing worse than lots of "happy" PvP'ers!!

People making their second/third/n:th alts and funding their upbringing with existing means and parking them in a station until ready, rather than repeating the same missions over and over (and over) again?

Touchè, so the reason those skillbooks are first, second and third is because people are making half a dozen mining/hauling/leadership alts. Ban more mining bots and see if it changes Lol

Surely we can get SOMEone on the CSM.

Either that or a lot of PvP'rs are living INSIDE OF A GIGANTIC CLOSET.

Re: the mining foreman skills, it's important to note they are only sold by NPCs in Outer Ring, and as such are bought in bulk and moved to empire for resale, as you would expect. Iirc, those 43,470 sold were only sold over about 20 transactions, and they are far from being near the top during a 'typical' month.

Banning bots always tend to have fun (and occasionally unexpected) effects on the market… P

That said, it doesn't even have to be “low-skilled labour” alts — if, for instance, you want any kind of alt in a corp that operates in highsec, you don't want to do the tutorials because they give your new character (tiny) faction standings rewards, and this means that they now suddenly count towards the corp's standing total, which might affect your corp's ability to (re)anchor POSes and the like.

So unless the character needs the faction standing for some very specific purpose, it's best to stay away from the free tutorial goodies for that reason alone.

And if you did a log check I'm sure you would find there was a High sec wormhole in the systems that sold them at the time Smile

Thanks for clarifying. Sure seemed out of whack.

That is the exact reason I bought that skillbook - to get unscannable cargo hold for sensitive transporting.

You know they "fixed" that last year right?

You know only NPC can now scan the Orca's corporate hangar, right? I tested it myself about a month ago.

Correct - stuff in the corp hangar can be scanned by NPC customs officials. Which was a fix for it being too easy to avoid customs, just by using an orca. And players can still not see with their cargo scanners what you have in the corp hangar, ship bay, or ore hold.

I'm on the fence whether CCP should ever fix that. On the downside, it means the ships and other stuff in the "special" bays never drops and can never be seen by players, which goes against the sandbox nature. OTOH, it's one of the few ways to move the really expensive stuff around in a safe fashion. Maybe if we could reconfigure our freighters to trade off capacity for EHP (just like the Orca) that would be a suitable trade for allowing the special bays to be scannable.
