Sliding Scale for Orbit and Keep At range

I would like to see a quick reset to the orbit and keep at range by sliding scale popup.

Changing ranges on the fly by entering exact numbers is distracting especially having to confirm the right-click command before resetting the range.

Mechanic:
Right click remains unchanged and would be used to set exact orbit and keep at ranges.
Left click remains the execute command.
Holding the left click or shift-left click brings up a slider scale relevant to the current ammunition or weapons load.
If I have lasers loaded with multi, then the orbit scale slider range would pop up for 4 to 12 km.
If I have lasers loaded with microwave, then a slider range pops up from 15 to 30km.
If a null object is selected (wreck or container), then the slider scale is much wider from 0 to 50km.

This would allow for quick changes in tactical maneuvers based on ammunition and/or situations.

It might be possible to preset the slider range for a given target to increase flexibility and to make sure you know what to set the range at (no hand holding).

This is another UI problem that needs solving. Come on CCP, what will it take to give the UI some SERIOUS ATTENTION, there are so many small things like this that would make life so much easier. So many that they are too numerous to possibly list.

oooh i like this idea
i can see alot of use for this mechanic in pvp and pve.
this is one of many changes that needs to be done to ship navigation systems such as better overload buttons and further customisation options (that make sence).
