Hi

As far as I know, impants are on-topic in this subforum. If I'm misinformed, and there is another subforum where they should be asked and talked about, please tell me.

Is there a program to help me shuffle implants, decide which ones to buy and plug in? I'm thinking some kind of menu for each implant slot, info on what each type of implant does, and what bonus sizes are available within each type, and automatic calculation of potential synergy bonuses.

Does this exist?

If you're talking learning skills, EVEMON will show you what benefits you'll get.

If you're talking about other implants, Pyfa or EFT will show you the effects of various implants on your fits.

I'm talking about cybernetic implants. Hardwirings and so forth. And I want a program to help me decide what to put in each slot. Give me an overview of what's available for each slot, and help with those imlpants that synergize in the form of "set bonuses".

Yeah, Pyfa and EFT will show what affects each implant has on your ships.

Implant: Goes in yo head
Module: Goes on yo ship

There's also some tables somewhere in Eve Uni's wiki about what bonuses fit in what slot.

EDIT: I did mean to say learning implants (the straight Int/Mem/Per/etc boosters)

Learning implants used to be simple. Just a choice of bonus size. But now with the Genolution implants, it's a bit less obvious what's best for each pilot's individual needs.

EFT and Pyfa will show you the effects of those implants.

I would not ever design a fit that requires one-off implants.

It was always a choice to use pirate sets, with or without the Omega, low grade or high grade or a mix for better attributes/set effects. Genolutions haven't really changed the game all that much.

EFT is probably the best tool to weigh their benefits. Common sense should be enough to weigh drawbacks, but EVEMon will do in a pinch. From there it's a judgment call.

What are your reasons for this?

Personally i tend to avoid PG/CPU implant requirements while building fits.

Logically, implant replacement.

Having an awesome fit is all well and good, but not much use if you can no longer use it due to specific implant dependency.

I've started stockpiling Genolution implants. I won't need a lot, just half a dozen spares for each of my characters, and they cost 25-35 million ISK each.

If you want an overview of what bonuses to use each slot for, you might want to check out this page on the wiki, it has a very nice overview of what the different hardwirings give.

Personally, most of my clones have a PG4 and most of my fits require it, but that's just me (mostly due to frequent logi piloting). Every clone should have a purpose, even if it is as small as just being a suicide clone so you can clone back to somewhere.

I hope this is one area that CCP intends to change some names (like they did for missiles) to make implants easier to manage. There's no reason not to name 'Zainou - Deadeye ZMM1000' as 'Zainou - Missile Rate of Fire+5%'.

Some fit is cheap. +1% CPU implant can make big change but is easy get. Annoy for go to other program for information. Be nice see implant sort by group. Missile rate, CPU fit and so on.

Now? Must look each one for see what do.
