"Earlier today we received distressing reports about explosions at the estate belonging to the Vitalia family. A ball was held there, originally believed to be in celebration of the four year anniversary of the Khanid Provincial Vanguard. Disturbing witness accounts from capsuleer guests who visited the estate have been confirmed through various recordings showing that Silas Vitalia had instead used the occasion to publicly go traitor on a stage inside her mansion."

I agree on the point eccentric, it is really not behavior which is in the manner of befitting one's social status. And this comes from me, someone how is actually less conservative than her. We all have our social roles, which we have to fulfill, and being a Khanid citizen means, that we have even a wider roles than a normal Empire Holder (see here). This wider role means that we have more responsibility ̶ and I dont want start a slavery discussion ̶ this role is more a social role in which she represent her family, the caste, the friends and most of all her profession: Being a combat-officer.

The first roles, family etc, have in the most cases their own personal reason, which is fine by me, and I even think the press should be outside of this (ACN, Scope or Dark Amarr News); if it is privat. Even If I dont know her really well, and my EKT friends (Lucius, Esan) have closer ties with her; I hope to see a anwser, to all this.

OOC Has she said why?... I hope It isnt because of the new novel. In the backstage eve-inspiracy had the noval some bad reviews.
And why not useing the IGS?

Edit:

  • I still search for the right balance between Amarr and Caldari, thats why I choose family, caste (Amarr), and as argument-tricker the profession (Caldari). I think, the Khanids, have so much possiblities, I hope to see more mixes.
  • Change one link to the wiki holder article, to show the Kingdom holders have more responsibility.

I would love to have those classes ingame. See here:

Would love to discuss any of the IC things going on,

Generally, the character has been building up to this for years. The Corporation was founded by a 'reformed' Sabik that has since left the game. I've made sure to have corroborating 'secret' Sabik IC goings-on with certain people for the last 4 years to fall back on should I need to produce evidence, etc.

It's nothing particularly inventive or out of the ordinary. It's a very thin line amongst many True-Amarr Holders between their grand ambition and their devotion to the Empire or Kingdom. Silas has just been exposed to too much power for too long and it certainly eroded her sense of duty and loyalty. Living in low-sec for years, then running a large sov-holding group in Querious (Blood Raider territory as well), things were bound to rub-off and corrupt eventually.

Maintaining a conservative and faithful public face has beeb just that, until she felt the time was right to renounce and chart her own course in public. She has enough money, friends, and she feels influence now to achieve those goals 'in the open' rather than 'behind the scenes.

We've also been without many public Sabik RPers for a while, and I'm trying to do it a bit 'differently' as in less Hedonist, more ruthless cult of power, etc.

We'll see how it goes!

But yes also sad to be leaving the Khanid Kingdom RP areas. I suppose I've just grown a little pessimistic these last few years with the 'direction' the Khanid lore went. Khanid joining the Privy Countil for the FW launch and not even trying for Emperor was kind of he deathnail for me. Perhaps if they launch FW with the smaller factions I can be won back ;)

Why Im not shocked about the whole Sabik thing P... I think you are one of the few experts on this area... and I should it seen it... most likely I was to much dazzled from your " conservative and faithful public face"... it was really goodLol.. I even though sometimes: She is to close to the empire, to much Amarr etc.... so thumbs up on that:) I like this mind games. About: "It's a very thin line amongst many True-Amarr Holders between their grand ambition and their devotion to the Empire or Kingdom." So true, it is in the natur of power, but in the end comes its down to: "which side can protect me (okay not for us pod-pilots) and my proberty." About the last part, the last "p",... it would be nice if CCP takes Silas proberty in the Khanid Region as taxes P. Just jokeing, but some kind of mechanic for choices would be nice.

I hope I dont spoiler here if I say I have read your wiki article... I hope the chapter "11. Return" will come one day Big smile But you have now a black mark on you like Arkah Dabir.Big smile

Thanks for the kind words Publius,

That wiki page is still a draft but I'm working on it :) Plenty to write!

Yes I imagined that the Kingdom Authorities quickly seized the estate and any public assets tied to Silas' family, that' s why she's spent the last several months selling things and moving funds to shell companies, to hide assets from persecution.

I imagine some of the house staff didn't make it out, I might have some use for that alt to tell a tale of woe after the Authorities pick him up for interrogation....
