Dire Pithi Saboteur using Merlin model?

I'm not sure when this changed, I suspect it was around the time that Caldari ships were reskinned, but the Dire Pithi Saboteur is using the Merlin model instead of the usual Griffin model. This frigate is common in L3 & L4 missions vs Guristas, and specialises in ECM.

Was the change to the Merlin model intended, or was this an unintended outcome of the V3 skinning project?
