HIgh Sec Grav Sites?

Ok, I have been exploring off and on for a while now and pretty much never came across grav sites.

Yet since sunday I have encountered two, including one that has now stuck around for 3 days.

Did these sites just get more common, or are they really so worthless that they will stick along unmined this long?

If those are Omber sites, they've always been pretty worthless.

Yeah, they are indeed omber sites. I know it is not the most valuable ore, but it seems odd that such easily AFKed rocks are just being ignored...

Though now I am wondering if this is why I so rarely see grav sites.
I got the impression that there is a set number of each type of site in each region (constilation?) at a time, so if no one is mining out the omber belts then they never despawn, and would clog up the region.

I find them pretty regularly ... at lest one per 2 systems scanned. once I see Gravimetric in the scaner I do right-click/Ignore result ...

They despawn after 3-4 days if not mined, since Omber is worthless.
Jaspet, hedbergit etc.. are mined within few hours after discovering.
