Is there a specific mod? What kind of boosting do you get? Is there a skill to train for to get the boost?

High Five. Yeah! C'est La Eve .

read this . Browse for a loki boost fit in battleclinic and train for whatever is needed to fly the ship. Different boost for different things gang assist modules. need no skills to receive boosts, fleet must just be setup correctly.

If it’s fleet boosts that you’re asking about the loki can boost all modalities (siege, skirmish, etc) but the relevant loki subsystem (Loki Defensive - Warfare Processor) has bonuses for skirmish warfare ... as you might expect from a minmatar ship. Checkout http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Loki_Defensive_-_Warfare_Processor.

The skills you need are the loki-related skills (for ship and each of the five subsystem types) and the various leadership skills ... for the modalities you want to boost.

I have not used a loki for this purpose but regularly use a tengu in a similar role. The tengu equivalent subsystem is bonused for siege (shield) boosts and a dedicated tengu booster can run six warfare link modules at once - three siege and three others in our case. Dedicated booster command ships (e.g. vulture in my case) can seven warfare links but, IIRC, the final maximal boost in their specialty area (e.g. siege) is not quite as strong as the T3.

I understand carriers are also bonused for fleet boosts, but haven't gone there yet myself.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
