So assuming that CCP ignores meta level concerns which you have admitted by having members being focussed towards interest groups, should CCP therefore ignore anything those CSM members contribute?

CCP should, and does, take obviously self-interested advice from individual CSMs with a grain of salt. In some situations, they use entire handfuls of NaCl. And other CSMs are quick to pipe up when they detect the sweet smell of bullsh*t.

Usually, any conflicts are obvious.

For example, right now there is a spirited debate going on about the issue of tracking-fit Titans being able to "blap" small ships (like cruisers and even smaller ships).

I personally don't think they should, for what I believe are solid game design and balance reasons. But at the same time, I have a clear conflict, because my corp (DNS) runs a Black Ops squad and was on the pointy end of a Blapping Titan recently.

Similarly, some of those arguing that there is no problems happen to be Titan pilots... Twisted

One example does not a complete picture make, wether you can find a bipartisan solution on titans am sure is relevant however.

It significantly bypases or missrepresents the logic of my argument or the point I wanted to convey though.

My main point is that mebmers of the CSM council have openly expressed that their interests represent a particular focus group. Certain biases are apparent and as such they specifically have a campaign to subvert the areas of the game that simply does not constitute as an area of interest to them. This is simply acheived by the neglect to accomodate all interests of all EvE players that confers a meta interest. As if they only wish to represent or promote items of interest to themselves, that focus represents an inequality in my opinion.

And it is more alarming when you consider the CSM process in that when proposing a subject for the council you first need to present it and obtain 25% representation of the last voting populace to have it even considered, or a CSM council member can simply place a subject. Then the CSM council can simply then vote or vito which topics of interests from those meeting the above criterea as wether to even include them in the luggage they take to Iceland.

So these points that are never aired or dismissed, means the CSM present a biast view or representation of player interest.

Think you might be wasting you time though, as if the CSM council are not concerened with your interest or opinions they really won't give a dam about legitimacy?

Seems the CSM boils down to voting in a candidate that supports your views and entrusting that CCP will spot the meta issues that any time wasters on the council present.

It's so nice to read the ramblings of an apologist. Whether on the payroll, or just wishing to be, these sorts of diatribes are amusing if only for the ambition of using hyperbole to reach a high plateau. This particular example is so laced with hype, to begin to try to unravel it one exaggeration at a time could become the project of a lifetime. Fortunately, I have a career and no longer have to involve myself with such mundane tasks.

10/10 for piling it hot and steamy.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
