Some things I think EVE needs

Hi there CCP and other players. I know you have yours hands full with preparation to merge Dust with planet interactions. I just wish to post list of things, that I would love to see in EVE (really great game BTW). English is not my nattive language so sorry for any mistakes.

    Drones:
  • Salvage drones - medium size; will slowly salvage wrecks; one at a time
  • Tractor beam drones - large size; will work like tractor beam - move wreck/containers towards ship
  • Command drone - medium or large - will boost other 4 drones; hard to balance versus 5 drone squad; maybe more viable with 4 sentrys.
  • Minning Drones - medium and large versions
  • Some rigs and implants for drones
  • Skills for new drone types
  • Mining drones upgrade - mid slot; passive reduction in minning time, increasedmining drones MWD speed

    Cargoholds:
  • Ship crew apartments - where you could put all that Soldiers etc. instead of cargohold. Could serve more purpose in future
  • More ship cargohold buttons for ships with more cargoholds :-) (drone bay; apartments; corp-hangar etc)

    Graphic:
  • Please repair the warp tunnel bug - its the most visible graphic bug in game
  • Rocket launchers visible on ship hull
  • Better rockets animation - I know, you are working on this
  • Drones leaving/entering ship from dronebay
  • More wrecks models

    Game-ballance:
  • Titans and motherships not imune to warp-scramble. Instead give them warp strenght 15~20.
  • Give gallente command ships cloak and cloak cino. Leave them with low EHP. - This will give them actual role and goes well with their ewar bonus and stealth fleets.
  • I would really like to have some frigate for low missions blitzing. Something like assault frigates but with AB bonus instead of MWD. Maybe T2 destroyers.
  • Remove drones minerals - I know, you are working on this
  • hi-sec NPC research stations - higher price per hour (at least 100x)
  • nerf T2 BPO - force them to 0 ME and 0 TE, non-researchable, non-copiable
  • nerf Incursions rewards or make them harder
  • remove local from 0.0 or make it accesible only for sov holding corp/aliance, maybe some communication pos module etc.
  • reduce jump clone usage to 22~23h

    Mid-term goals:
  • smugling missions - move some contraband from low-sec to hi-sec
  • Missions with some random elements in them - atleast random nmber of spawned ships
  • Collisions do damage - titans ramming POSes for the win!

    Long-term goals:
  • Modular POSes
  • Dueling system - could start small as to give players kill right for half hour
  • Tech 3 frigates and battleships (I would prefer frigates)
  • archeology - some alien artefacts please (could be just for sell like personal efects). Maybe use archeology on planets, moons etc.
  • mining - some mining minigame, like planet interactions, that will need to click on a rich deposit - make mining more fun and will wreck bots. bots/lazy people could mine with minning drones
  • Give each pirate faction some unique thing like sansha's Incursions. For example small blood raiders raiding party flowing into your mission, Rogue Drones harvesting operation in a belt etc.
  • Ships deactivation - make ship looks like wreck. Will turn off when trying to salvage, tractor or someone move too close. Maybe in form of a module. Could make fun traps for salvagers. It will add fun and is weaker than cloaking.
  • Game physic - please, pretty please do something to make it more realistic (ships must turn to slow down; frontal engines; manuever thrusters; engine-reverse thrust graphics)
  • More moving ships - like noctis, I would love to see more moving ship parts. Tristan anyone?
  • Ships with spine-mounted weapons - something like titans doomsday; cant be unmounted from ship; Real pos destruction artilery.

CCP really please dont use Upgraded, Limited, Experimental and Prototype in item names. It sounds like the item is actually worse than basic meta 1 item. Use Calibrated, Enhanced, Optimized and Upgraded. Its really easy to understand that the item is better than meta 1 and its also in alphabetic order.

That's a very random collection of requests. Most of which are either bad ideas that have been posted hundreds of times (nerf T2 BPOs, remove Local, ship crews, fixed weapons, mining mini-game, ramming damage, etc) or things that have already been posted a thousand times and are possibly being looked into. I don't have time right now to respond to all of them individually though.

Oh, and AFs already do epicly in missions, just because they have a bonus to MWD sig size doesn't mean you have to use a MWD (that bonus is kinda like a laser cap use reduction, it doesn't make it bad to fit something else, it just makes it less painful to fit that item).

Im using AF now (retribution to be exact). Moved from Succubus and its meeh ... Its slower, have less dps, pro it have more EHP (yes I know amarr ships should be like that) ... well I can tell its not designed primary for missions. I expect more from dedicated L1~L2 mission ship (that dont exist ATM). Something like small Marauder would be really nice.

I know my list touches every area of game (more or less) its just things i gathered over 2 years of playing and trying different aspects of game. Also i know most of them are discussed somewhere I just created my own list with mostly my own ideas - what I would like. Also Im really gratefull for Crucible and hope CCP will continue to repair things.

I'd love to see some more realism as stated, precisely what you mentioned about thrusters for ship manoeuvring in general and not only for forward propulsion. And make them stop firing when your not accelerating or decelerating :o

Why does the thrusters keep firing when you're not accelerating in space?

Its important to remember that somtimes realisim isnt desireable in EVE. They just releaced enguine trails in Crucible, adding a sence of realisim would take that away from us. the unrealistic enguine mechanics are in place to give a visual cue to the player that his engines are running.
making hairpin turns to decelerate by fireing your thrusters in the oposite direction isnt practical in EVE. This is a Submarine game not a Battlestar Gallactica game. plus can you imagine a titan trying to turn itself around to decelerate?
The current system works well, instead of fundamentally changeing the system we should be improving it.
In terms of Navigation mechanics, we need more options for orbiting i.e. ability to select orbit radius, direction (Port, Starbord, Vertical Horizontal, ETC).

I am however very supportive of a Modular POS system. Ive worked in a POS before and i can tell you from experience the current system is ugly as hell and needs a revamp.
Fluidity in missions is also very desireable.

So, all you've done is copy some of the 1000-papercuts thread and rename it. Try to be productive on these forums, not repetitive. CCP is well aware of all of these "issues" (in quotes because a lot of these are bogus).

Sorry Dimitri I didnt copy anything. Its my first thread and was my first post on this forum and i didnt read this forum before or any other EVE forum. I just wanted to share my list.
