It seems that militia is so full of noobs that they have invented their own words for thing they have not seen before.

A shortened form of a word or phrase.

Thanks for that. I would never have guessed that people called pirates "pies" because it's an abbreviation.

But you seem to be unaware that it's generally a bad move to use an abbreviation where it can be confused with something else. Hint: look at the name of my corp.

Except there are far more non PIE inc pirates than pilots in your corp. So just by numbers it would make more sense to keep it. Also no one cares about your corp.

You should be more gentle with your words, Julius. Pies have feelings too.

Hell, members of the same militia will go pirate on each other for any reason or no reason at all! Case-in-point:

To be totally fair, his corp is so old that he can probably make the case that his corp name was in use before people started to call pirates pies...

I do RP (not that there are so many opportunities in EVE) so I don't want to go outlaw because of my character..... If I was short on war targets, I would go to highsec and shoot Caldari militia carebears. There is plenty of them. So, that may be an alternative. It could even force some carebears to change, if it was done more massively.

What bothers me is another thing associated with going outlaw in militia: When a neutral enters plex, why the hell do I lose sec status and get gcc, when I shoot him? It's quite clear what his intentions were - disrupting military operations. CCP should rethink that mechanics.

No the Gallente Government does not sanction your violent and destructive acts of piracy so you are in fact not a privateer. You are a dirty pirate, embrace it. Pirate

There is no "pie" in "pirate". Hate to burst your bubble man.

There is however an "irate". I like that.

Plus, even abbreviations are subject to ridicule if they're silly. Pirate

Abbreviation != substring

I have noticed that more and more FW pilots are going pirate and willing to shoot more neutrals due to lack of WTs from the opposing militia.

If CCP doesn't fix FW soon, this scenario could play out in so many different ways. Thoughts?

Yeah I agree.

Low-sec is pretty sparse. A lot of the FW guys you see will actually avoid PVP at any cost.

Therefore in order to actually do low-sec PVP you have to widen up your target selection a bit.

I've always felt it was dumb not to shoot absolutely everything you could though anyway and FW is just a free wardec.
