A Customs Office in my hangar

Last week, one of our customs office was reinforced, and when it came out, we caught and killed two dreads trying to finish it off. By then, the office was already in hull. That was at the end of a long op, so I went to bed safe in the knowledge that the POCO would regenerate, and the loot would pay for 10 replacements anyway.

A couple hours later, an ex-corpmate and friend chased off some ships trying to kill the office, and organized an attempt to repair it. They couldn't do it because of the cycling bug. Soon afterwards, the attackers came back and killed the office, so my friend decided to petition on my behalf.

Today, after some confusion from the GMs about why he was petitioning another corp's loss, a Senior GM reinbursed the customs office:

Not a gantry, or materials, or BPCs. An entire customs office, in all it's 100.000.000 m3 glory, sitting in my hangar, looking pretty.

It can be reprocessed, but (with no skills or standings), I only get 7 units each of the materials needed to upgrade it from gantry to full CO. I can't get it out because no ship can move that much.

Needless to say, it's been re-petitioned already, but if you want me to try something non-destructive on it, just ask Pirate

I actually thought of that right after posting this. Too late now I guess.

Also, it would be too risky for buyers. CCP could realize the mistake at any moment and turn it back into a pumpkin, I mean, a gantry.

Sell it to a collector - Entity might even pay billions for it if it isn't against the rules.

You can always cancel the petition before CCP gets a chance to look at it

That's what I'd do.

Actually, changed my petition to ask whether the item was legal to keep, and to keep it if it was. We'll see. Pirate
