The character Banroh has just been used for a corp theft.

The mothod was setting up wh corp for the sole purpose of eventually stealing members assets. It was a clean theft/scam no whining here, just putting the information out there.

The character was minutes later put up for sale.

If the CEO of corp suddenly put up for sale at the same time as a member declare him thief does not strike you as odd then by all means ignore this. Hey I ignored my own bad feelings about this whole thing for far to long, why should you be different...

Proof is overrated, trust is not. If you can dig out any earlier case of my 8+ years in the game when I have called out a corp thief, even more so wrongly, lets see it.

If you trust or ignore this info is really up to you.

It stikes me that your efforts, though they have a good heart behind them, are essentially wasted. The number of players who browse the character bazar forum and also browse this forum are probably very small.

Smaller still are the number of players likely to both see the character in question in game after the sale, and also have knowledge of this thread. Also, those who have seen this thread will know that the character has been sold and that the real person behind the character is no longer the same.

Personally I would have no problem buying a character with decent skills used for a corp theft given the above (provided of course I wasn't planning to join the same corp that was ripped off).

Just something interesting to think about!

Well its just too easy selling your thief char to your own alt to "clean it". A sale does never clean a char in my book.

Just food for thought.

Didn't think of that, good point.

You could follow the character around informing every new corp he joins that he was previously owned/potentially still owned by a thief!

Pfft, just buy the character, see who he sends the isk too (since you'll get the wallet history), and tell people who his main is.....though of course it does mean paying him more isk than he already stole from you Roll

I don't log in - I don't need to. My very existence griefs people. They see my name, and they instinctively fill with rage and indignation. Deny it all you want - but if you didn't care, you wouldn't have posted, would you?

This *could* be a clever way to promote the sale of a character, getting C&P members to look at the sale thread for a combat toon with a history of corp theft. If that's the case, then I salute you.

If not, then this thread sucks.
