Yadda yadda yes weve heard it all before

Even though I enjoy the game totally and utterly i think it would be nice to see these guys pop up again.

reason are basically there seems to be that lil edge missing and that sense of "oh s£$t" "wtf was that" happening

pvp fun but hmm

Its all myth etc but sightings in the early days were fun to hear about and read about

and watching a ccp char fly on singularity in a edilon doesnt quite match it

To me dusk is meh but im not a ps3 player

So please ccp give us a vid of somthing to tantilize us or even drop a couple about for somthing to read about

we know there out there somwhere and I dont think you have truly killed them off yet :)

Anything the Jove could do would just be to toy with us. They could exterminate all of new eden in an instant if they so desired.

I unleashed my Jove last night, it wasn't pretty.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

IIRC, Jove was the race of the devs. The artwork for their ships was never updated, so it's very unlikely that we'll see them again.

aye i know its all myth and ccp having fun when there really like REALLY bored

but i think it would be awesome if one day say in dodixie local chat all of the chat stops and the only thing is a jove saying
somthing in a language we dont know then a portal opens with a jove comming out of it

then all hell breaks loose.

as the jove are a banished race it shows up as global and everybody can attack then 50 concord bs appear and try to destroy it and with aggro mechanics if you shoot it... it can shoot you back so basically its your own fault if your ship gets popped

then when its bored it just leaves

or if ccp were real nice it would exploded with no pod and leave a small prezzie. obviously it would take some damage to knock it down though



you know somthing that would give us all the OMFG WTF factor


oh you all might say aint that a incursion but tbh incursion is incursion it aint a jove


hell ccp undocking a edilon in local instead of singularity would make me smile

Jove should be like Endermen in Minecraft. They pop up here and there unexpectedly and are gone just as fast as they appear. If you are lucky enough to lock one down and engage it, then it should be the same as an officer rat in null.

No bounty but great drops. (I'm thinking high meta faction/officer/pirate mods from across the spectrum.)

Just spit balling tho...

Jove is only interesting BECAUSE you can't play them or interact with them. Would they become more used then they'd be normal. So no, the OP's idea is silly and bad.

CCP have put Jove on too high of a technological pedestal to ever be interacted with directly. Which sucks because of that believe created in the game that all problems in the universe are man made and yet they keep this almost alien culture as a demigod super power that judges from on high.
Not to mention their large chunk of space that cant be used normally which effectively feels like putting barbwire in the corner of the sandbox. You can look, but no touchy.

It's true from what we know they are powerful, but they slowly keep giving us there power...........
What are there plans for us? What need do they have of us, pod pilots that they went out of there way to bring us in to reality through the tension of the empires at a point they were poised to eliminate each other?

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

I've said it before, CCP should reserve the Jove for that fateful day when they decide to close Eve down. Declare Eve FTP and then open up a massive campaign by the Jove to wipe us out in a story arc spanning two or three months and ending in a desperate battle at the Eve Gate...which we lose, leaving the Jove as the sole race in New Eden. Cue epic cutscene and advertisement for Eve 2.

Let's see. The Jove give Eve pod pilot implant technology. Pods can duplicate a pilot's mind into a cloned body regardless of distance. The Jove gave the pod tech first to the Caldari who are known for loving profit to the point that they don't ask too many questions.

So:
* the Jove can monitor everything that a pod pilot does at any distance,
* the Jove can probably commandeer a pod pilot's mind/nervous system and create a puppet out of them, or at least shut them down remotely.
* the Jove knew that all the Eve factions would have to accept Pod technology to be competitive with the Caldari and each other

Ergo:
* when the Jove invade, they'll use the existing base of pod pilots to attack the rest of Eve.

However, given the number of piwates in lo-sec and the NBSI policies of null-sec, Eve pod pilots have jumped the gun and started the invasion early.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I don't know.....

In one of the Dev Blogs there was a picture of the dev's Skill Window and it had Jove Cruiser listed.

It was a Rank 18 Skill....yes, for Cruisers.

A theory a brosef of mine came up with is that Jove space and Jove related content is CCPs "emergency" expansion pack. They have enough assets already in game related to it that they could hastily whip it up into a substantial looking expansion over the space of a few months in order to buy the game an extra six months of subscriptions in the event that it looks like the game is dying.
