Naval Insignia Devaluation.

Insignia Tags are still in free fall.

Imperial general Ins II could sell at over 2.5M ISK over 3 weeks ago in Rens they are now valued at around 1.4 M ISK. I believe this is due to the new dead space mods that will be flooding the market as people search for the new shield MODS completing a lot more DED sites than normal. Pretty much all navy faction and thus the tags will be extremely devalued in the next few months.

Will the tag market ever recover?
I'm doubtful that they will ever return to their previous value. Unless CCP introduce some new LP rewards that consume said tags and can compete in terms of value against dead space or far fewer mods drop from dead space as was being expected by community.

I'm a tag trader or I make the occasional trade, will I lose out?
Possibly and possibly not. The margins for Navy Insignia remain intact and are much the same as they were before so for day trading you might actually see an increase in trade due to the lower price. If you had bulk stocks of high value tags, yes you most certainly lost a lot of ISK in the last few weeks.

I am a tag farmer or mission runner how does this effect me?
The premium tags 'generals/admirals' have lost around 1/3 of their value. Missions against the navy do not pay bounties but are instead subsidised by the dropping of tags. Disregarding mission reward and other items drops, a level 4 navy mission is now 1/3 less profitable than it was 2 weeks ago.

I'm a Navy faction manufacturer and I buy tags to manufacture or trade mods directly from LP store items or BPC, how does this effect me?
It all depends on the item you are producing and it's relevant dead space MODS value and availability. You will now be able to acquire and produce your mods at a far cheaper cost due to the devaluation of premium tags. however this will be offset at the lower sell value of your produced items as dead space floods the market.

Is it time to buy large stocks of premium tags in expectation that they will regain their value?
If I knew that I'd not be scrubbing round the forums :) Maybe CCP will reinvigorate the LP market that would do it. Any nerf to Incursions would also see the bears return to level 4 missions also driving the value up.

Market price is on the up again allready, possibley due to specualtion buying at the new price. The market is currently buy order heavy with not to many units for sale, might be worth an investment in buying stock now.

Meh if I had isk invested which I do not I'd be happy these items are now worth 2 million per unit up from 1.5m last week. I'm just looking at what I would do if i did have ISK. I think in 2 weeks they will be up to 2.4m per unit. Just seeing if my theroy is correct.
