Such horrible trolling and such simplistic answers in regards to blobbing. Here's how it works;

Gallente Pilot #1- I got 5 WTs in Nisuwa. I need some extra pilots. Anybody around?

Slowly a fleet starts to form up. People are ready to move out but then as they say, "If you fleet it, they will come" Too many pilots start X-ing up, comms channel starts swelling, and a low and behold a blob fest is formed. Sometimes the FC doesn't want to be ******* and deny people the fun. The fact of the matter is that there are alot of militia pilots from many corps who end up Xing up and the FC doesn't know who they are. So rather than risking alienating potential future pilots, the FC accepts them into fleet despite the fact that it may be a blob.

There's alot of corps and personalities in the militia. We can't impose our will onto others.

It's too simplistic to say, "Oh yeah. Those guys just blob and know nothing else." There's alot social dynamics going on as a fleet forms up and there's only so much one can do.

I'm not saying blobbing doesn't occur. I'm just trying to point out some of the internal dynamics before this becomes another threadnaught about Gallente vs Caldari drama.

I've noticed this too on the Min/Amarr side, although usually if a fleet is getting to large for it's intended target, the FC (whoever it might be: Annah, Amy, Late-Nite Bros, AUTOZ, etc.) will tend to stop picking up Xs, although sometimes it's too late and you suddenly have 20 people in fleet to fight a 5 man gang. :D
