I have never seen this message before, but immediately after installing crucible 1.1 I now see it every time I start the game.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe

R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

The weird thing is, I click "OK" and the game launches and plays like normal (the launching is a little slower and takes more time however).

I am running windows XP.

I just downloaded and installed the 1.1.1 patch, and that did not fix the problem.

Same here. The client won't load, bombs out, gives an error. I'm running 6 clients over 2 machines and there is always an issue simewhere. Got rid of my ATI cards for Nvidia just to cut down on the errors.

Never have I played a game that needed to be patched daily.

The patchnotes mentioned something about using vcrun2010 now, so try installing http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555 (or the x64 version if you have a 64-bit OS).

NB. I use wine so this is not guaranteed to fix your issue.

i've spent a fair few days trying to figure this out and but no success yet. it seems that some binary we ship with the client is incorrectly setup and is trying to use a C++ runtime outside of our application folder. when that runtime isn't found, it then uses the runtime we ship with the client. the ****** up thing is that our internal development clients dont have this problem so it's really hard to debug.

this issue is something unique to just a handful of machines. i've already been in contact with 2 other players that have the same problem and luckily i have 2 internal reproductions which i'm trying to debug.

i'm working to figure this out but as yet i've not been able to pinpoint the problem and can't give you any dates when it will be sorted. but once i have it sorted, we will get it out to you as soon as possible.

with help from some fellow workers at the office we managed to find the problem and get it fixed. we have tested before and after on both internal computers we could reproduce it on and i'm happy with the fix.

now to the ****** part. because this requires a patch and involves the C++ runtimes we dont like to rush these fixes out. i'm hoping we can get this out within the next week or 2. i can't give anymore information than that right now sorry.
