Not up on game stop so i am assuming amazon is being dumb.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

That's most likely a place holder date. Happens all the time, with titles without a concrete launch date.

Hm maybe. But why state 31 Dec 2011 when the previosuly communicated release time has been summer 2012 (IIRC)?

I think Amazon just needed something to put on their website to start the pre-orders Smile. If you want accurate DUST 514 information you should keep an eye on www.dust514.com for announcements.

Amazon just put that up to have a date there, it's pretty much unknown at this point.

However, from this link to Dust 514 Gamescom preview it sounds like they're targeting release around this time or a bit earlier next year.

What is listed at Amazon, and perhaps elsewhere, about the DUST 514 release date is incorrect.

We've already stated that the release will be summer of 2012 in the latest press release here.

So umm, $59.99? Is that wrong too I hope? I thought it was download only, and it was going to be a small "download fee" of maybe like $20? Have plans changed on the pricing and format CCP?

AFAIK, it is initially going to be a full price game. Later, once the game is established, they will make it FTP or very inexpensive while refunding everyone who already bought the game through MT currency.

dec 31 and jan 1st are placeholders for preordering games.

usually jan1st means the first 3 months of the new year
dec 31st means between November and jan

other popular dates are april first = after april before September
and sept 1st which means before chirstmas.
