Hi,

A small group of us want to form a corporation and rent a system (or two) in null sec. We plan on carryout all viable ISK making opportunities within the said system. Subject to restrictions agreed with the landlord.

Who are the most reliable in terms of not killing us and not losing their space?

I have looked at LOD but they have nothing 'suitable' right now, though I am sure that will change shortly.

Regards

I'm happy to rent from anyone that is 'relatively' trust worthy and has a sound reputation for leasing parts of their space.

I've looked at LOD as they were highly recomended to me.

I will not be making bulk payments up front, any agreement will need to be on a weekly/monthly payment basis.

I lived in NULL for a fair while, so I like to think that I am fairly prepared for it, however my experiences with large alliances is somewhat limited as I flew with a corp that largely ignored these boundaries.

Does that make me ignorant, probably yes, hence the reason for asking the questions.

Traditional I've always been blessed with good and (at least to date) honest answers from these forums.

ps. Don't get me wrong. We will be a tiny little corp of probably no more than two or three players, but we want to try parts of EVE we have not tried before and as always, the most fun is had in NULL.

Yes. But not by renting in null.

Or you could, you know, join a real alliance who would supply the funds, the fun, and not ask you to pay for it?

Joining an alliance makes you obligated to follow the alliance rules: i.e. attend CTAs, bash POSes for them, defend POSes for them, etc...

THEORETICALLY, renting space from an alliance makes you less responsible for such things, leaving you free to choose which fleets you want to join, or to restrict yourself to small roaming gangs instead of blobs.

Being a renter generally means exactly the same thing. Powerbloc's want people who will fight for them, and those who do not will probably be shown the door before long.

If not, then probably the rent bill will be so high that it will be just like work trying to pay for it.

In short, you must either be useful to them, or be a target.

With that in mind, I believe the DRF in general still have plenty of space to rent, and they are mostly trustworthy and honest, so you should be able to sort something out.

(Of course, I assume that I don't have to warn you about not going anywhere near anything that even smells like a goon (test)???)

I do know Goons do funny things with renters.

I do know Test is an AOK crowd and will usually look after genuine people. Only Test embittered enemies (you there IT?) will tell you otherwise.

But I didn't know DRF was trustworthy and honest....

Learn somethign new everyday.

You do know that the average price of renting a nul system is high enough that three players/accounts could not come close to paying it; even if you botted 23/7 right?

Well, from that I have gathered, it seems space can be rented for 100m per week. At least with LoD they 'had' space available at that rate.

That would be for the whole system, whereas I would be willing to 'focus' in on a specific type of opportunity if leaving the others reduced the rent accordingly.

To be honest a good system will be a lot more than that. And while I disagree with others in saying that 3x players can't make enough to pay the rent (for a good system), it would take a hefty chunk out of the money you're making. If you can find a nice system for 100m per week, I'd say take it because you can easily make that in a day or two of running anoms. A single signature (if you get lucky enough) can make that or many times that.
