Is there any point to this thread anymore beyond some mouthbreather screaming 'LOLOLOLOLOLOL I TROLL U' at everyone with an IQ above room temperature?

Doubt it.

4 pages of posts. 6 likes. Probably all his alts or people that are as dumb as he is.

I have a better idea, make smartbombs only require tritanium or some kind of explosive mineral and let anyone mass produce them as much as they like so people don't have to get past gank squads in order to make them.

blob problem solved :)

Actually i have only one other account - main, and didn't vote here using it, because i'm interested in opinions of other people.
While you guys by default assume, that only your opinion is correct, and anybody who doesn't agree with it, are pure idiots.
Otherwise you wouldn't offend me and those 10 people who voted for here.

I saw in this thread:

Trolls: 1
Inadequate dude: 1
Disagreed people who wrote some their arguments: 3

And 10 peoples already voted for this idea.

What's bad in this thread except one troll and one inadequate?

Stop bumping your own thread, it's dead.

A slightly less terrible iteration has already sprung up again here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=62530&find=unread

I still disagree with the idea on principle, but at least in that thread it is thought out a little better.

I actually really like this idea.

I mean, they're huge ships. They should have some kind of fuel limitation to keep them from becoming a 'swarm'.

I can't get rid of my darn signature!  Oh, wait....

Maybe, but there are still better iterations of this idea. As I said above, this thread is the latest one, and at least there the OP recognizes and tries to address some of the limitations and draw backs.

That idea is completely ineffective. Author suggests there that the isotope, necessary for supercaps, will be obtained with extremely small probability at every mining laser cycle.
It is absolute fail - because it is extremely convenient for bots.
Big alliances will just have hundreds of bots/pets on T1 frigs in asteroid belts, continuously mining that asteroids with simplest mining laser, and jettisoning ore to the space. Every time piece of isotope appears in the cargo - bot/pet warps to POS, drops it there, and returns to the asteroid belt.

And now, show me the bot, that can scan signatures which can contain component for supercap fuel in my idea.

Looks like you even don't try to think a bit, before saying anything Roll.

The difference is that that guy realizes there are flaws with his idea, and attempts to address them. Quite a lot of the flaws he's identified and addressed apply to your own proposal too, yet you have either failed to see them or ignored them due to bias.

And no amount of bumping will make a difference to this thread, you obviously haven't had quite the response you expected given that you even set up an in game chat room specifically for this proposal (lol?). So try to think this idea through a little better, maybe take some of the ideas from the litany of other similar threads on this subject, then re-post when you've thought it through properly.

Hopefully if you at least attempt to address the issues that have been raised, preferably a little more logically than "nahnahnah, it will work, people won't abuse/sell it", then you won't get trolled so thoroughly next time round.

Blah blah blah :)
You wrote so much, but didn't give me answer to the simplest question - how about hundreds of bots/pets on T1 frigs with simplest mining lasers, who will get any amount of that isotope needed by large alliance.
In my idea it is very easy - supercap fuel component can be found only in signatures, while bots cannot scan. Also people will not be able to get a lot of this component, because they don't like to scan during a long time.

I responded all your questions, and you stopped asking anymore. While you cannot answer even single question about that suggestion Roll

And i don't see any trolling here. Just a lot of bumps P You can think that you are trolling me, but really your posts here had only two effects:
1) They helped me (i mean some of your questions) to change initial post, so it became more structured and clear.
2) You bumped this thread many times.
Thank you :)

I raised that issue in the other thread, and in there the OP had the foresight to raise the issue himself in his original post. In fact he had the insight to raise a lot of issues you haven't even seen with this kind of proposal. I will list them one more time, taken from Zirse's thread, to see if you can form a more coherent response, then return to trolling.

"This isotope has a fairly short natural half-life, that, when left undisturbed, lasts for perhaps 3 months."
Your fuel blocks can be stockpiled, and easily sold and redistributed. Zirse proposes fixing this by giving his isotopes a lifespan, not a perfect solution but at least he realized it's an issue.

"While large alliances would have access to more isotopes in sheer purchasing power- any alliance running its own mining ops should procure some isotopes even if infrequently."
This speaks for itself. You deny alliance's would have the finances to buy fuel blocks at 500m for an hours operation (LOL), when a single player can grind 500m in 3-4 hours or less depending on skill. You also deny this resource would be sold, again against all advice given to you you deny the simple realities of Eve.

"If the rate at which they're allowed into the game is balanced around the longer inactive shelf-life the universe would have a hedge against large entities that stockpile a larger amount of isotopes to unleash them all at once as doing so would create a lull afterwards in which few isotopes would be available for replacement. At this point any alliance that weathered the storm would have the opportunity to strike back unhindered."
This doesn't even come up in your proposal. In fact you seem to believe small alliances would benefit from stockpiling blocks, and "somehow" force large alliances to use all their fuel while they're at it.

"While I'm sure you would see some isotopes traded on the market, I think that their rare nature would trend the price upwards to the point of being more profitable to auction them off or sell them privately- essentially creating the opportunity for meaningful economic warfare between sov holders. If the supercapitals were powerful, that is."
Again you ignore even the notion of this stuff entering the market. I raised myself the issue of this being sold as and when required among the massive coalitions and by renters, making it impossible to reliably limit any entities access to fuel.

"Supercapitals can be what they were always intended to be- massive behemoths of destruction that will **** your **** up."
Your proposal is purely a nerf to supercapitals. Either you nerf them too little, and they will be used in much the same way only with extra work added in the form of hunting/mining on the alliance side, or you over-nerf them. And they are effectively removed from the game for all but the richest alliances.

"It should not be a another mechanic that adds :work: to this game."
This is all your proposal achieves. Creating more work for large alliances. They will still have the supers, and control the fuel, now they will merely have to grind a bit to keep them operational. Or, more likely, dig into their alliance taxes and moon goo funds every now and then to buy the stuff.

"Get rid of all super-caps currently in game. Reimburse pilots for skillbooks and hulls, fittings can be sold. Possibly reimburse skillpoints, but that is probably fairly controversial. Reintroduce them as described above."
This is pretty major. These are rarely alliances assets, these are individual pilot's ships you are messing with. They have probably worked anywhere from 50-200 hours in gaining the ISK or materials to build or buy these things. Let alone training time and the purchasing/training of holding toons. You, due to bias, do not even see that taking these ships away from most individual players who have worked for them is a bad idea. These are people that have played for years subbing multiple accounts, and a large number would very likely just stop playing due to your proposal, yet you offer not even token reimbursement.

"Find a way to move the inherent costs in a supercapital away from the player and towards the alliance."
You make no effort to achieve this. Again either whether due to bias or shortsightedness is unclear.

They don't like to scan for a long time? When I was grinding for ISK to buy my alt I was scanning two systems at a time on different accounts, methodically finding the rated sites in a region over and over again. I know a very large number of people who play this way, the fact that you don't is somewhat telling.

Once this resource is found, it is merely a matter of getting the bots there. Unless it de-spawns or is exhausted rapidly? In which case you don't need bots, you just need a small dedicated team of people hunting it, and it makes ninja-mining the stuff even easier.

The supers, mainly titans need a little more loving from the Nerf bat the Tracking of Titans insta poping Battle ships

But the introduction of a Mega Cap - 1 only - that has 1 unique item that will drop every time. first distributed at the Alliance tournament.

takes crap load of stuff to build and detroyable with 20 titans. Be really slow to warp or jump.
An I win initially button but will is designed that it will be a I lose event after 5 mins. Being not able to leave battle quickly

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

A simple way to limit capital blobbing to an extent is to require them to fit in the area around the cyno they are jumping to. If the jumping ship couldn't possibly fit anywhere in that area bad stuff might happen. On the low end it would simply fail to jump and waste fuel and on the extreme jump inside the other ship potentially destroying both.
