Just over a month ago I had the idea of creating a very focused blockade runner complete with ships/gear etc., that I would sell at the 3-month mark. It's been fun to make and I'm attached to this one now, but I'd like to start 1 or 2 again (to sell for real this time!).

Thing is with investment and markup I'd need to get 4.5 to 5 billion isk (about double the 5 Plex put in). That would support this character's love for shinny things. So is there a market for that? Would people pay the much for say a ready to go 6 mill sp miner or leader?

Like I said, it's fun to make. But I don't want to find myself with two 3-month old accounts that I don't need or want.

I don't do the market but like reading ya'lls posts. You guys put a lot of thought into this tuff so I'm going to trust the vibe and will or won't.

(Also, I suppose this could go in price check forum too, but I don't want to wait another 45 days for the character sheet to fully realize for showing before I start again if I can.)

First up, you can't sell the character with "anything of value" outside of implants. You can leave it on the char when you transfer it, I know I have - the stuff was too widely scattered to make it worth *my* time to transfer/consolidate.

I'd also look at what you are calculating your "ideal" sell price. You want double the cost of the char transfer as well? I think not. Maybe you'll get double for the 3 months of plex time but it's unlikely for the sorts of characters that you are thinking of.

Probably your best bet out of your list would be a leadership focused char that can fly a tengu booster but I think that will be a bit more than 6m SP, would have to check. But you are crazy if you think that you'd get 5b for a 6m sp miner.


The old standard was around the 250 Isk per SP or 1b per 4m sp. Of course you can add 1b to that to cover plex transfer cost but even if you double that base you'd only be looking at 4b and I you aren't gonna get many takers at that level.

Good point about the stuff - not sure if that goes or not even if all in same place. And I didn't take into account the fee. I may see about lowering cost and give the leadership guy a go. We'll see.
