Who else wants to see a race specific Battle Ship for the newer races in EVE?

I for one would love to see a: Khanid themed, black hulled, torpedo/cruise throwing, armor tanked Battleship when CCP balances ships in the upcoming winter expansion.

Well, there are loads of pirate factions that need to come, each of which would be great to have in the winter expansion. Hint Hint, CCP.

I for two, would like to see a Khanid Battleship, but I would also like to see a Carthum Abbaddon :D etc. etc. Hell I'd accept a Khanid Abbadon, I just want a T2 Baddon :D

Bloodline can't develop a ship, RnD corporation does it. While Khanid Innovation ships are widespread (and beloved <3 ), i don't see any RnD corp for other bloodlines.

Almost anything in 'Kaalakiota colours' is good in my book. A kaalakiota Rokh, but why stick with racism? I thnk it's about time the R&D companies switched hulls. Black and red looks good on almost any hull.

Not having an Amar missile battleship is a balance issue. I recall damage types being a reason why Amar T2 ships had missile boat options. It allowed for more damage types. Not having a BS version is a balance issue. Inquiring about a missile battleship is just as viable a request as adding a third mid-slot to some Amar ship designs in the name of balance.

There are five Amar specific battleship options (two navy and three regular). Change one of these five ships to have a missile bonus. Isn't four laser options enough? To maintain the Khanid theme, I'd recommend one of the 'navy' versions. Twisted Khanid players are already use to paying more for their Amar missile boats!

Simply put, there needs to be one Amar-themed Battleship with missile bonuses. There are multiple ships that could have a bonus change. That would balance out the race's BS options. It would ensure continuity of the missile play-style within the Amar race.

Edit: Introduction of a new hull could also be used to help balance other issues. A Caldari BS with tracking, damage and optimal bonuses would go a long way. It doesn't have to be a 'new' hull. It can be a recolored one with different bonuses. There is no level 3 BS with a navy version...

Anyway, i got off topic and my edit brings it BACK on topic.

Hmmmm. A Gallente (I suppose Caldari could have this too) BS with 5% damage and 7.5% increase in tracking and falloff range.

Or, 5% increase in rate of fire and 7.5% tracking and reduced capacitor use per level of BS skill.

That would sure beat a damage and armor repair bonus ....... or falloff range and shield resist.

Khanid Innovations ships are indeed armor/unguided missile hybrids. And having another one of them might make sense. Might. But this is just wrong:

Not only is there no torpedo-bonused Amarr BS, there is no drone-bonused Amarr BS, no energy turret-based Interdictor, no drone ship of any race in the Destroyer class, no T1 missile Destroyer, no BS-sized EWAR ship other than the Scorpion/Widow... and that's off the top of my head. Whether any or all of these should or should not be created must be argued independently based on its own merit. The fact that your personal hobby-horse is a black torp Abaddon is absolutely incidental to whether the ship needs to be created or even has a legitimate role to play in the game.

Show me the progression of ships to support your claim(s) and might agree.

As it stands (for amarr missile boats) it's; Inquisitor->SB->Vengeance->Sacrilege->Damnation.

No race has a T1 missile destroyer.
There is no amarr frigate drone boat or even BC+.
There is no amarr frigate Nos/Neut frigate or even BC+ (only blood raider faction, which means it's already ingame/taken care of).

There's precedence for an amarr bs missile boat. Not for the other examples however.

Where does the Heretic, Vengeance, Impel, malediction, (Curse) and legion fit into this?(if bonuses are the only thing that matters I'd like to point out that the Anathema is a missile ship, and that either the ishkur is not a drone ship or the eos is. The Helios would be undoubtedly))

If you want to get technical the only combat oriented ship from Khanid(IE damage is the focus) is the sacrilege. The stealth bomber is viziam, the damnation is primarily a fleet booster, the inquisitor is still tech one. The anathema is a prober and the Impel is a hauler. Malediction is arguably a combat ship, but I'd like to consider it a tackler primarily or we'd have to call the raptor a blaster or railgun ship, same goes for the heretic.

The point is not that it'd be impossible to defend the implementation of a torp khanid bs, the point is that there's so many many things that could be defended if implemented there's no reason the khanid bs should take any precedence. You might like the idea, but there's no gaping hole for just that and the exact same cause could be argued for a Roden cruise missile bs for gallente.
