It's nice to have a full list on who's doing what at CCP. Helps us direct our anger when something, inevitably, goes wrong again. Could the Dev who's in charge of Drone development please reply?

lol...
No doubt he's pulled the blinds down and is hiding behind his desk at this very moment Blink.

On a side note, Thank you CCP for showing such a presence in a single post, and showing us you all at least pay a little attention to the forums.

I'm somewhat relieved that I don't see anyone with the title of "Scrum Master" in here yet.

Why is that? Are you referring to the lack of information about where EVE Online (flying cool spaceships part) is heading or do you just have a bad personal experience with what SCRUM Masters are contributing with?

A notorious problem with SCRUM is that people do not understand the responsibilities of the key roles e.g. Product Owner and SCRUM Master. I'm assuming that CCP Zulu is the Product Owner since he owns the backlog (or Product Backlog Item - PBI), but who is the SCRUM Master for EVE? The person who protects the team from unreasonable requests by the Product Owner and who ensures that the SCRUM process is adhered to.

Just did a little research and it looks like CCP currently have a vacancy for the EVE-O SCRUM Master role which actually explains a lot: http://www.ccpgames.com/en/jobs/job-details.aspx?jobid=280

Interesting that the SCRUM Master will report to the Senior Producer of EVE (aka the SCRUM Product Owner). I'm not a SCRUM expert, so I asked a friend who is. Here is his reply: "YES. Absolutely. That is a major problem."
Twitter reply

Great thread btw, interesting to see all the different roles and departments. Do you have a top-level organization chart by any chance?

I like how you included your real name in your signature John. Your 15 minutes of "John Tuberfield, Hero of the People" are long gone, get over it :p

I've seen the YouTube clips and heard the chanting, but I never got what all the Turbefield commotion was about. Oops

There was a leaked internal publication (called "Fearless") in which 2 devs where asked to portray a stance respectively pro or argainst microtransaction as a means of fostering internal debate. John Tuberfield (Diagoras) wrote the "against microtx" piece, CCP Soundwave the "pro" piece. From having had converastions with the both of them, I know they both have generally balanced views on microtransactions (albeit leaning in the direction they were asked to portray).

Either way, this internal publication was leaked, people got all mad about some things mentioned in that paper (myself included) mostly what was on the page before, but people didn't get much perspective on the pieces authored by these 2 guys and soundwave was subsequently depicted as the devil incarnate, and diagoras was hailed as the savior of the people.

The irony is, both have been extremely useful in responding to the needs of the players, but just in different ways.
