COSMOS, or WTF?

Do corp standings affect COSMOS agents, and after running a few, why won't some L3 agents talk to me with a personal 4.12 Amarr standing?

Why? Ugh

Anyone have a list with order-of-completion?

There is maybe an issue with standings and COSMOS agents; I too have experienced agents that refuse to talk with me even when I have the supposedly required standing.

The agents tells me "Sorry, no mission for you" like I have already completed their mission line instead of the "contact somebody down the ladder" speech that agents normally present when you do not meet the required standing demand.

If you experience the same: Please bug report it (not petition).

With some research, it seems that COSMOS agents go based on your base standings, before social skills. I'll get base to 4.0 to see if it affects things. I'm also quitting my corp to see if that affects it.

Cosmos Agents go by your personal Faction standings modified by Social skills. Most of the Amarr Cosmos Agents have a specific order for access.

For sure, after testing: COSMOS agents are not affected by social skills. You need the correct base standings with a faction in order to start the COSMOS agents.

Maybe there was a stealth change recently done or maybe I just missed the DEV Blog or Patch Notes about it.

The last time I did a Cosmos Agent mission was on 6-05-2011. I completed a couple of Level 4 Cosmos Agent missions with Faction standings modified by Social skills. Guess I'll have to talk to another Level 4 Cosmos Agent to see if standing requirements have changed. These are my standings listed below.

Empire Faction Standings............Modified.............Base
Minmatar Republic.........................+5.29...............+4.11
Caldari State..................................+5.28...............+4.10
Gallente Federation........................+5.23...............+4.04
Amarr Empire.................................+5.19...............+3.99

Try some of the Amarr l3 agents, you might find you don't have the standings, yet. I've a 5.19 unmodified, and I can't do King of the Hill, yet.

Your 'effective' standings are used in calculating whether you have access to COSMOS agents. Another reply suggested that Amarrian COSMOS missions may have to be completed in a certain order. I cannot say either way on that point but it may be correct.

I've already completed all level 3 and lower Cosmos Agents for all Empire Factions. Modified standings were accepted. Some Cosmos Agents require a specific item gained from another Cosmos Agent for access. There's a few of those in all Factions Cosmos, Amarr Cosmos has the most.

The problem is not a standings one. I have tried with two different characters both have plenty of corp standings with the agents corp. Also as mentioned and seen by me just a minute ago you get a different message when you dont have enough standings for an agent.

The message you get from the bug is the one you get when you have already done the mission. You can see if you have done the mission if you dont remember by looking at your personal standings with the agent. If you have done the mission it will be non zero.
