More RvB and E-Uni Fun

A little misleading, but that's to be expected from EN24.

I'd like to highlight that the original idea for this event came from RvB. They're not "doing us a favour", we both wanted to get together to have some fights. I would say that the 300+ ships destroyed since the event began are proof that we have been engaging in those fights, even if some of our FCs are overly cautious about the whole thing.

So far the event has been good fun and our students are learning a huge amount from it. I'm sure there'll be more great engagements over the weekend, once participation is up.Smile

The two big fights I played a small part in were a lot of fun. Yes, there was a lot of hanging around, and yes we ended up having to leeroy into them. But props to eve-uni for some good fights.

Is the Uni paying RvB for public support? I only ever see Blue chiming in with all the "positive support" ... where's Red?

I mean, despite our griping here and there about the pacing of the war not being as quick as we would like (Hey, we do live 2 jumps from each other, not having PVP ever few minutes feels slow), ships do indeed explode as verified by killboards.

I would like to thank Euni for a neat fight earlier today, where they warped into us at a moon, I know we outnumbered you all by quite a bit, but at least you turned up and brought pvp, so don't listen to the trolls around.

Actually, listening to the "trolls" is likely what made them warp into you guys, initiate the fight. Otherwise, you'd have Day One all over again, where they blueballed you for six hours until YOU initiated.

Oh yeah. I'll try to locate it. Basically he calls for a goals-based system, with the suggestion that there be structures that must be captured/held/destroyed, at which point a winner is declared.

They kinda already have that now, if people want to own/shoot at them. POSes. Except the Uni is really quite afraid of getting its POS blown up (they have a number of researchers/industrialists who earn most of their ISK for the POS.)

He also talks a lot of about honour and war. Apparently he's still stuck with the idea of wars being contested like the Battle of Waterloo.

Minmatar space will be renamed Ponyville.
Gallente space will be renamed Canterlot.
Caldari space will be renamed Manehattan.
Amarr space will be renamed Cloudsale.

Also, smart corps have implemented their own decshields. Empire wardeccing is for scrubs unless it is for the lulz and good fites anyway. HTFU.

So basically, Eve Uni figured out how to "break" the wardec system by making it cost an INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF ONE (1) BILLION ISK!!!!!!11!!! and people are mad about it? Why?

I like it when people fake kill comments from me, and forget that:
a) The war had actually ended at the time of the comment (as per the schedule posted over a week before, nevertheless).
b) It was in losec, so the war was irrelevant, barring the sec status loss.
c) It's actually a kill against RvB, suggesting any 'sucking' would be related to the other party.

Finally, despite what some people may be deluded into thinking, the war vs RvB was a great deal of fun for all involved, and a few Unistas managed to learn some valuable lessons.

Edit: Also pointed out that I apparently misspelt 'too'. ProTip for people faking stuff which is supposed to be by me: Get the grammar right.

I thought that was an odd comment for you to be making, especially since you tend to hide the ugly PvP truths from your students to keep Uni morale high.

Actually, I thought the grammar error was some small piece of evidence that it could have been you that wrote the comment. Your spelling and grammar (especially the spelling) can be atrocious.
