I takes a lot of time and effort to keep a POS running, so why the hell do advanced ship assembly arrays have 10% added waste? this is seriously unbalanced, and didn't CCP say they were going to revisit POS assembly arrays anyway, when are they gonna get around to that??

Soon™ Roll

It'd be nice if they'd take away the 10% extra, since the other 'normal' arrays don't have it with the exception of the Rapid one, after all you're already paying to have the pos up and running.
But hey, it's industry so don't hold your breath.Sad

Déjà vu all over again...

My most successful and most ignored CSM proposal:

Make Advanced Ship Assembly Arrays useful (CSM)

Item Number 66 on July 2011 Prioritization Crowdsourcing. Didn't fair that well.

well why the hell didnt it? It absolutely fucks over T2 production. I suppose there were other issues on that crowdsourcing people were more concerned about, hopefully next time now that alot of issues have been worked out, assembly array reworking will be higher on the list

T2 ships can be built in stations and outposts. very few indy toons actually use the POS arrays except maybe in deep null where no outpost is available.

An advanced ship assembly array means T2 components in the POS making it a juicy target.

It may be impossible to find research slots in high sec but manufacturing slots are fairly easy to come by.

It's just another one of those prenerf decisions that create artificial roadblocks. Designed not to work, working as intended.

It's a holdover from the days when CCP thought 100 billion ISK was a big deal for an alliance (read:supers). Outposts cost ~50 billion (IIRC, it's been a long time) for the egg + materials. And, honestly, back then it was a big deal to have an outpost anywhere ... now they're pretty much all over the place. Hell, back then ... it was a "big deal" for hisec types to have a corp that was battleship-capable AND could afford to throw them at their enemies...

So, back then ... 10% waste on T2 stuff was no big deal, because nearly everyone was using POS for the task ... maybe a few players had access to outposts ...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
