Hi all,

So I never really liked the entry point to EVE fiction on the EVElopedia, which was just this. So I took on a bit of a personal project and created a new portal from which everyone can hopefully bounce off from and acts as a nice entry point to the world of New Eden on the EVElopedia:

You'll note its just in beta and there's still alot of stuff to do, but the pedia exists for you guys and us fiction nuts here at CCP love having stuff down so we can remember what the hell we wrote all that time ago.

I've added alot of stuff from our internal documents, but its mainly stuff you have already seen. We will be adding new items and articles as time moves on but these need to go through a scrubbing and approval process internally before we can release them. I've also updated all the race pages to be more friendly, updated the timeline to the new approved all working timeline and done a load more stuff.

So please, jump in, add stuff, create new stuff, update and enjoy!

There is one thing I am worried about: key elements of the lore being lost. Sometimes you have to dig deep to solve mysteries, and the whole Sleeper/WH/Sansha/Jove thing remains a big mystery.

I hope that the raw stuff, all of the old stuff and the forums get saved somewhere in their original form. Refinement of what we have now may cause some things to be lost in translation - even those actions of other players, the record of which is also important in finding clues.

What i'm missing is a chronological order, for example if you go to the subcategorie "Black Mountain", all chronicles are there, but no indication as in which order they were published.

Also, the Greatest Joke and Post Mortem are missing (at least according to the first paragraph of "Sounding the Horns of the Hunt"):

Player fiction will not be added to this portal, cos it aint true!

AKA This portal is for CCP-approved lore only. This is where you can (soon) reference something CCP said with utter authority.

For now however, it needs some tidying up. There's the infamous Binary Jump Gate page, which seems to have made it to canon without anyone noticing that there are no binary systems in EVE. I'm sure that there'll be more pages akin to that found, would be nice to have a way to alert CCP to conflicting Lore/Game items and help out in that way.

You can bet that, if there is an error, EVE players will find it. How about the ingame description of the Hull Sections? The IG market still lists them as being found in Sleeper wrecks, but we find them in Talocan wrecks... Leave it any longer and it'll start (or continue) the CONCORD conspiracy theory. Please don't let it!

Side note: If you want to learn something about the Jove, join the AJ project! We don't focus on them, but it's inevitable that we discuss them from time to time.
