What are the benefits / loss's to making pirate SOV space (Such as Guristas for example) your home? Can I setup a POS in Pirate SOV? Will there be more rats due to it's SOV?

Can anyone give me some information or a link to where I can read about Pirate SOV space?

Thanks

NPC-nullsec is kinda like NPC-hisec except:
- It's nullsec so other ppl can kill you without CONCORD retribution;
- The missions pay better if you're a PvEer;
- The anomalies and sigs generally pay better if you're into exploration.

Things I don;t know for sure, but assume:
- Moon goo access;
- POS anchoring possibly dependent on standing with 'sov' alliance.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

I understand the mechanics of Null sec fairly well, I'm just more specifically looking for info on the Pirate Faction SOV space.

Edit: perhaps I'll make a trip in my pod or a cloaky ship to see what's out there

You can setup a pos but you better be ready to defend it. No standing requirement though. You can station out of npc stations; best to do so at a station with medical and repairs. Downside here is if the station gets bubbles you're not getting out unless you're in a nullified tech 3. No gate or station guns so be wary of that. Null is generally pretty quiet but if the locals catch wind of you regularly carebearing there they might hunt you down.

If you wanted to create the jump clone there, you would need the standings. Otherwise what you would do is create a jump clone at a station in high/low whose owner you have standing with, then manually move down to the NPC station and jump clone back to the station you created the clone at. Ta da, jump clone now in place in NPC null.

Repair and medical facilities are open to anyone at NPC stations. As are offices. Its good to setup an office as well because it means you could set your medical clone to that station (as long as said station has medical) and pod jump there.

Absolutely. NPC nullsec has stations, just like hisec / lowsec ... and they provide all the same sorts of services.

To check in advance you could use DOTLAN (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Curse#sec - link set to show Curse).

Lots of different approaches to settingup. Like xx said.

I setup my nullsec PvE clone in hisec then gate hopped them into Curse / Venal / PureBlind. Over time I shifted other ships in to support (I don't yet own a jump freighter) and setup corp hangar / offices so we could all use them. Now it's just a matter of clone-jumping in when I want to do NPC-null stuff, and running the occasional T3 'freighter' back out to hisec when i want to sell collected goodies.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

How easy would it be to move stuff around in a crane?

Edit: Sorry.. that was a dumb question, I was replying from my phone. Now that I'm home I can see the map in game.

Harder than just using carrier. Most people just use some jump capable ship for moving stuff in null - no need to run the gauntlet unless you absolutely have to.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

That isn't totally true, there are station guns in nullsec on NPC stations, if you don't believe me, shoot the station, it will certainly shoot back. This works just like highsec station guns, I.E. if you have agro to that corp they will shoot you (though Highsec station guns are quite a bit more powerful). They will not protect you from someone who GCCs because you cannot GCC in nullsec, but, it is something to consider before you use that ECM burst scorp 10km off the undock.
