I prefer mine, personally.

I prefer to keep it simple. Three identical displays, so no stupid multiple displays that are all different with different resolutions that look untidy, and one hugely powerful box to run them all.

Six clients with maxed out graphics, running in fixed window mode, two on each display, means that I can market whore and freight haul with six accounts across six regions till my heart is content with each client at 1200x1920, all bouncing off the v-sync limit.

When I'm not travelling the M11x serves to host IRC and various other things.

Then, when I decide to head out roaming, turn on the SLI profile, and I get one huge maxed out client running at 3600x1920 with maxed graphics. The M11x then serves as my scout, or as a place to log in an alt to watch intel channels and corp/alliance.

Never did figure on people going "herp derp, I need a million displays, five laptops and twelve computers." You just need one powerful machine and the knowledge to set it up correctly.

What chair is that? It looks super-comfy.

I have a lapy and 60" hdtv that i connect sometimes but not much.

I like mobility and bringing eve in kitchen :)

Lapy is custom built so it don't lack anything performance wise.

From the looks of it. I have the same chair, and it is quite comfy. Or kampfy, depending upon how you say it.

PVP is a question with no single right answer, but a lot of wrong ones.

The Desktop is built from scratch by me :

> Intel Core i7 980x (3.33GHz / Hex Core) @ 5.25GHz
> Asus x58 ROG Rampage III Extreme Mainboard
> 24GB 1600MHz Corsair Dominator Triple Channel DDR3 @2100MHz
> 2x Palit 3GB GTX580 (SLI)
> 6x 1TB Samsing Spinpoint F3 (3x 1TB RAID 1 Mirrors)
> Corsair Force F40 SDD
> 1200w Antec TruePower Modular PSU
> Three Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP 24" Panels @ 1920x1200 (Portrait 3600x1920)
> Antec DarkFleet DF-85 Case
> Corsair H70 Liquid Cooler
> Corsair Dominator RAM Cooler

The M11x is :

Intel Core i7 u640 (1.20GHz Quad Core) @ 1.55GHz
8GB 1066MHz Dual Channel DDR3 @ 1800MHz
600GB Intel 320 Series SSD
1GB Nvidia GT335M Graphics Card

Both run like a dream, even with the fairly harsh over clock on the desktop as the CPU had its warranty voided within about 5 minutes of being out of the box when I lapped and machine polished its heat-spreader.

It's easy enough to do. Don't bother trying if you have the "ExxxWFP" series dell monitors, as they're a lower quality panel and the viewing angle makes the displays difficult to see at a slight angle, plus their stands don't pivot and rotate to provide the portrait mode.

With any Dell 2xxxWFP or 3xxxWFP series screens, just rotate them to portrait on the stand, push 'em together and set the displays up through the SLI/Crossfire option in Nvidia Control Panel/Catalyst Control Center. Pretty simple really.

I'm still averaging about 300FPS in Eve with this setup on a single maxed out client at 3600x1920.
