You can now remote dock while cloaked.

Please make this fix for jumpgates as well.

problem is there is not an applicable fix for gates

with stations the docking cycle never starts because of the error.

with gates you still coast to 2k and uncloak (most of the time)
but the problem with gates is jump range is larger than uncloak range so your ship attempts to jump but fails due to it still being inside the 2500m - 2000m zone as you warp to "theoretical zero"

really its one of the billion papercuts introduced when eve first went live, the center of an object is not always center. so warp to 0 from one direction embeds you in the gate itself while a warp to 0 from a different direction drops you at 2100m from the gate.

pod travel really highlights this as pods don't tend to coast and you often have to realign to the gate to jump

personally I think the only way to fix it is to audit all stations and gates for their box locations and correct them as needed (assuming that is the actual problem)

Hi all,

Apologies for the confusion, we are going to change the patch notes to better reflect the actual fix. They will now read:

When automatically docking after warping to a station in a cloaked ship the system will wait for the ship to be decloaked before attempting to dock(will make the ship go nearer to the station).

The issue was that if you had set your destination to a station and cloaked during or just before warping then on approaching and attempting to dock while cloaked, EVE would notify you that docking had failed. The fix is that the code will now uncloak you just before you dock. This change does not mean you can teleport into a station without uncloaking.

The reason this is a recent fix, is because the ability to dock to a station via Autopilot was introduced in Crucible. Hope that answers all your concerns.

Thank you for clarification, I also would like to support the requests about applying the same mechanics to jumpgates.

Kind regards.

Wait, what exactly does docking while cloaked have to do with autopilot? Can the autopilot now cloak for you as well? What?

Yes, lovely fix, shame it doesn't work. Been warping to 0 on stations while cloaked (not on autopilot), and failing to dock ever since the patch....

I'm afraid that seem to be the case with me also, every-time, not even once it happen as mentioned, so, was it removed?

Great idea! Any update on when we'll see it implemented in the game instead of just mentioned in the patchnotes (giving the mistaken impression that it was already added in that patch)?
