Anomalies ( sp? ) "broken"?

I preface all of this with the statement that I am speaking STRICTLY of Gallente space.

I really have no idea how the other race's space stuff fares, I'm sorta a Gallente Elitist ( pay no mind to the Minmatar bloodline.....)

I've chased the anomalies since I started the game in '07, and there has always, let me stress this....*ALWAYS".....been this wonderful consistency with them.

They pollute the place, which is great, multiplying and respawning like salvia stoned little bunnies, and a good lot they are, the Hideaways, Burrows, Refuges and Dens in all of their wonderful variants.

Most wonderful, though, is the anticipation of the elusive Commander spawn, and the even greater anticipation of he drop.

Will I get the boss? And if I do, will I get a real goodie and not some silly tag and ammo?

Oh, for the hunts!

Now, imagine me shock and horror over the last few days. Since the latest patch, to be exact.

Those same hi-sec runs, with their little frigates, few dessies and very occasional cruisers, all the sudden start popping out commanders like it's raining meatballs at the movies.

Every other site, there's the boss. Sometimes 4 or 5 in a row.

And dig this; they ain't just haulin tags and ammo!

I'm talkin low-grade snake omega ( 350 millions for you kiddies keepin score ) TWICE in one day!

That's not counting the mess of Shadow active hardeners, Shadow webs, Shadow points, Shadow MWDs in 1 and 10mn sizes, Shadow Armor reppers in small and medium.....Oh I could go on listing the loot on the floor of me hangar.

Does Christmas come at a different time in Iceland, or did someone really bork up the loot drop tables?

Like the mickey dees commercial say............I'm Lovin It!

It just makes me nub ass a bit ascared totin around half a bil in loots in me trusty catalyst, even if it IS hi-sec........

So you're saying you think there has been a sudden increase in drop chance?

I sincerely doubt it but if you think there's a bug, making a forum post about it is silly. File a bug report. Odds are though that this is simply random at work and the "streak effect" we as humans perceive in dealing with artificial randomness.

May be, but 700 million from two drops in one day in hi-sec simply isn't supposed to happen.

All kidding aside, the anomolies, at least in Gallente space, are being seriously over generous, and no, frankly, I don't care if I start a stampede into town, there's plenty for everyone.

I'm just curious if it is happening anywhere else.

As for the rest, yeah, it's friday, and I'm havin a bit of fun.

Who wouldn't with such a windfall?

Sounds like another "nerf high-sec" thread cleverly disguised as a posting of a 66-68 year old.......Roll

My run last night and today thru G high sec included 27 systems, some unoccupied. The 4/10s I found were usually already being run/occupied and the ones that were not had poor drops. 3/10 and lower followed the same theme. Not one of these systems produced the fantastically high rewards you are claiming. While I have now and then had a streak of good fortune in what I have found, your claims seems to be pushing the envelope of believability...and this is in a game with warp drives and giant spaceships.P

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

You are speaking of Cosmic Signatures, mate. They do not appear to have changed at all, from my perspective.

I speak of the anomalies. The little fun sites any idiot with an onboard scanner can get to. The kind that take zero skills, and even less ship and tank to run.

THAT is why this is all so curious.

And I am *NOT* 66-68.

I'm 65. Can't even draw full social security yet. You just ASSUMED I graduated in normal time.

I was including those as well, since I "clean sweep" every system I scan. No change in spawn/drop rate at all.

Last saturday i topped 1.4b for 5 hours scanning through 2 GSO dropping C-Type SB, guerilla grounds dropping an A-type and the rest from radars and faction hardeners.

Last 2 days doing the same have netted me nothing but frustration, crap tags and faction ammo.


Working as intended.

I hardly think I'm special. I've heard rumours and rumblings all over Everyshore about this.

I have a pimped out proteus and a head full of virtues. I make my explo money in null, just off reblier in Syndicate. Obviously I don't care who knows. If you catch me and kill me I deserve to die for being stupid.

I heard these rumors about everyshore and decided to go have a look. Took me trust little shield tanked Ishkur and the horrible hobgoblins of doom, part 2, and set off scanning.

Didn't get 2 jumps into Everyshore from Essence.....Leremblompes I think it was, when I popped a Den that spawned a Shadow catalyst.

That was the first of the two low-grade slave Omegas that day.

I haven't bothered going back to Syndicate since.......I'm making plenty here and don't need to worry about getting hunted down.

Suit yourself, though. If it isn't happening for you, well, then, anyone who claims that it is for them must certainly be a liar.

My sales of loots would beg to differ.

Quite funny situation here.
I normally don't do anoms but just yesterday I did 2 Serpentis Den's while waitng for my mate and in the second one it spawned Shadow Serpentis Cruiser, which dropped the same implant ( low-grade snake omega ). "Lucky me, one in a milion" I thoughtLol

However...

The best thing is that today me and my mate did about 30 anoms and we got 2 more of those implants + some other decent drops and 13 faction spawns in total.Shocked
I don't know much about anoms (doing rads/mags in lowsec mostly) but my mate is doing a lot of those and he says that he never had so many spawns and good drops in such a short time. We will see tommorow.
That was in Placid.

So now we can start with some conspiratorial theoriesLol

it's random as **** for me. Have done mostly radar sites any of thos sites you don't need to scan down and combat sites i've yielded about 150 mil in a week scanning about 50 systems. One day ill get something be able to complain about it on this foruM!

Well... I have to report the complete opposite, so random is random.

I run CA's all the time and also scan down those more hidden things in Gallente space.

I have not seen a faction spawn in days, so it appears the Op has taken my random luck.

So while occasionally I have good luck and can afford things like the t-shirt I'm too sexy for, I can say it is very random and some days are good and other days are barren. I can also say there has been an decided increase in the number of people running them, as every other system I'm running into someone who had gotten to the site earlier than me. If that is the case, I salute and move on, unless it's low sec, in which case, its pew pew time and often leads to me having to buy another ship.

So TL;DR - working as intended is what I have to report.

I'm new to exploring, but I've killed around 20 domination rats now and all I have to show for it is 20 tags and some crap ammo Sad Send some of your love my way!

On the plus side though I did find a 4/10 plex the other day with some nice loots, yay!
