Pizza ftw!

The old and new neocoms remind me of the taskbars of Windows Vista (and the versions before) and Windows 7.
To cite Sheldon Lee Cooper: "Windows 7 is much more user friendly than Windows Vista. I don't like that."

What is wrong with keeping the symbol you open a window from and the bar you minimize it to seperated? And what is the advantage in merging them?

And: I read somewhere that the UI in EVE is supposed to be made less OS-like. This change did not make it less OS-like, it just made it look like a different OS than before.

I also do not like that I am not longer be able to blend in the names of the buttons in the neocom. I hate the symbols. They all look alike. I rarely find the button I am looking for before accidentally clicking on a false one.

The ability to hide some unused buttons is nice, but could you not have implemented that into the old neocom?

To the OP: There is a way between Ranting till your thread gets locked and Slimey Sarcasm. It is called constructive criticism.

Oh I am not constructive - I leave that to people who have something to think with. However I do wish that I could someday be able to walk and eat chewing gum at same time!

btw it was absolutely brilliant move that you didn't come to forums today and meet your fans. You rather let the cheering and applauses continue over weekend and enjoy it much longer. I could have never figured such awesome plan out. Maybe the positive flow will even continue to grow while the crowd gathers up for the ultimate party. I can already feel how the mood is raising. You people are so good at this! Amazing customer service and stealth communication.

My favorite pizza is thin crust with garlic and oil brushed on top with Brussels sprouts shavings and Gypsy Salami with 2 year old white cheddar sprinkled on top.

******* brilliant

I think that after every successful patch deployment Hillmar should order free pizza for the teams with most positive feedback in the forums. They surely deserve it!

Who knows what quality Pizza's available in Reykjavik (they eat Hakarl there)? That might be a punishment.

I just wanted to add one more thank you about the new blinky animation. It is so much better than the old one! It just keeps blinking and making sure that I won't be able to concentrate to anything else as long there is something going on in Neocom. That is serious improvement right there! I won't surely miss anything now!

This thread is so much full of win already, but obviously you need fame and fortune also from the great usability fix where character name was removed from the neocom. I agree that it was blocking some vital areas of the user interface and now that it is gone, switching characters is so much easier - specially if they don't have character portrait created yet. Before it was lottery but now, with all those stupid text removed - everything is plain and simple! Thanks - you all have special place in my heart!

I'd just like to say I too think that the new neocom is awesome sauce. Also the new names were well thought out, not a part of dumbing down at all, (please don't say otherwise) and makes missile selection now a dream. Even searching for them now is great stuff.

Kind regards,

I love mystery. Better to hide the things in one big mess than have two separate and easy for read place.
Also love turn off all blink! Now no see any change. No confusion for chose thing I want blink and thing I no want blink. Now easy for all or nothing! Lol

Edit

I like pizza with frog legs ... only joking. Blink
I like it with banana, ham, pineapple, cheese and tomato. The cranberry one also good but no know what all put inside.

I must once more thank you guys for such swift actions about not rolling back the recent name changes. It has been hilarious and thrilling experience to sort out the market orders. It is so much easier than before! Epic update! I don't even need to know what I am selling any more. My excel sheets agree with me fully!

I wonder who this bit brain dead guy was who left you a note here. Perhaps you should go and enlighten him a bit about realities of life. I just wish that you guys could to come my local store also and rename all the different brands of beer to something simple like "brown mjolnir beer extra large bottle", "brown nova beer small bottle", "brown mjolnir beer medium bottle", "brown trauma beer large bottle". They would be so much easier to buy!!!

Having a minimise button that makes thinks completely vanish is a stroke of genius.

Renaming modules really shakes up the market PvP and provides new exciting names to memorize, benefitting everyone.

I am surprised this wasn't rolled out as a major expansion.

The major expansion will come with renaming EVERYTHING!

I wonder if that is the first time Malcani's law* will fail TwistedTwistedTwisted

I'll take mine with extra cheese, a Windows Start Menu, and a blinky seed crust. I also have a coupon for a large Jita Bread with Awesome Sauce.

Nice work there !

(btw, my favorite pizza: Quaddro Formaggio with Spinach and Egg in the middle)
(baken only so much so it's still a bit wet and juicy)

I'm a fan of the meaty pizzas. Since I make my own, and it's thin crust, I find that veggies make it very hard to keep a crisp crust, so I don't use them (such a tragic loss Pirate). My next project is gonna be trying to make my own sausage for a sausage pizza.

Also, anything other than Mozzarella for cheese is heresy (I prefer freshly shredded low-moisture whole milk Mozz, but I can be flexible). Nothing else stretches properly, or browns right, or does anything right, really.

:D

I don't care about "heresy", as the only thing that counts is ... taste. But i understand,
as you're making your own, you have a really deep connection to Pizza and the process of making one ...
... unlike me, who goes out to the restaurant where that one guy makes them exactly how i want them.

My pizza life depends on him...... if he ever dies, i may never ever again eat pizza.

I once had a ground meat pizza, at the age of 18. It was my first and i was baffled when i saw it.
It tasted exceptionally well, which i wouldn't have believed if somebody told me.

And sadly, i can't eat Salami Pizza. A few years ago, for a reason unknown to me, my stomach started rejecting them
so i had to stop eating them (which i didn't very often anyway, but still).
