OSX 10.7.2 Lion

Experiencing a _LOT_ of ui related crashes; crashes on mouse over events. crashes on movign mouse (no events) crashes on buttonpresses.

the game does not exit, just completely hangs and audio starts to stutter about .5s of audio over and over. mouse cursor still moves.

alt + cmd + escape is only way to get out of it.

*cross posted from main issues thread.

OK.... not sure when this happened but I noticed it today after patching with client update #2.

Mac Client. OS X 10.7.2
Macbook Pro 2011 15"
4GB Ram
512 MB

I have two accounts with one Eve install (i.e. I don't dual box, or run both accounts at the same time), one character had a Rho Clone, the other had a PI clone. Logged in today and the lower SP character had the Rho Clone, and the Higher SP character had the lower PI Clone.

Upgraded back to Rho clone, and filed petition, but posting here for others to be aware to check your clone.

Things are working fairly well for me, except for general client responsiveness. It seems quite slow, sluggish, and clunky, with almost anything I do causing a severe drop in fps.

A good example is PI. Just looking at a planet I sit at 20-30 fps. But if I grab a extractor head and move it about the fps drops to 4 and and it becomes quite hard to move the head into the desired position.

Another example: flying about the client will sometimes freeze for a second, then continue, then freeze, and so on.

Another example: If I try and load CQ the client becomes quite unresponsive. When CQ first came out I could open cargo, move stuff, do other things all while the "LOADING" message was being displayed. CQ did not slow things down much. Now it almost locks up the client. Something changed for the worse.

Strange Engine Effects

Hi ho,

every few minutes after entering a new scene (jumping through a gate) I have a strange block effect of the engine trails.

I cannot willingly reproduce this effect, but it shows up since the engine trail introduction in Incarna all the time.

Here are two pictures of it:

Lion 10.7.2, recent iMac:
Crashes were very rare pre-Crucible, but now I get them as often as five minutes from starting the client.

still having the same issue as I've been having since crucible went live, eve keeps freezing up on me after about 5-10 min of doing anything. this is getting really annoying since this makes eve TOTALLY unplayable.

Yup. This latest patch made it worse.

Even regular sound seems to "stutter". just before a crash.

Interestingly, Nullsec by myself and doing sigs in relatively unpopulated Lowsec is FINE. No crashes.

Undock in Highsec? Crash.

I've even had it crash DURING a logon when I'm arriving in station.

2008 Imac. 256 Meg ATI Graphics. Snow Leopard.

Literally, totally unplayable. I have 6 months of Plex, so I just have to log on once every few days for new skills... But this is crazy.

I'm in the process of installing Bootcamp..... but what a PAIN.

And yes, this is a recent re-install too

Game Client Froze while I was in space yesterday, Had no other choice but to turn off My mac and restart ,this usually fixes most issues I have had with EvE however once I attempted to log back in to the game the Loading Screen for the game was Blank.
Restarted My Mac more then once before I decided to Re-install the entire game...

Since the release of crucible I have noticed increased issues with with FPS and after the latest patch and the complete change in the UI ,being docked in station uses a lot of resources even with my graphics on the Lowest possible settings..

I had no choice but to delete the entire Eve folder from my Mac and now am waiting for the download to complete on a fresh client
