I am genuinely curious about this. Does anyone know if in 0.0 space an Alliance has ever been formed that takes Sovereignty then Roleplay wise claims itself an empire and RPed with it? I can't say I have heard of it and I suspect any that has tried has been gang attacked by any number of 0.0 alliances in their area.

Roleplayers in Null are either shot on sight, ridiculed until they leave or if they are lucky kept as little pet corps.

Curatores Veritatis Alliance (CVA), Ushra'Kahn (UNITY) , Ishuk-Raata Enforcement Directive (I-RED) Amarr, Minmatar and Caldari respectively.

CVA and Ushra have been around pretty much since beta i believe ( they were both around when i first joined in '05 anyway) and used to take their RP seriously. CCP used to take it seriously too, as i believe Sarum Prime used to be lowsec before CVA "reclaimed" it for the amarr empire?

I mean I personally hate those guys, but they used to try to do a good thing in prov...

Whilst CVA certainly were roleplayers in the beginning, it boiled down to some intentional assclownery - presumably in order to avoid ever being taken seriously by any other alliance (which - in combination with their crappy space worked for a surprisingly long time).
