Understanding POS array cycle times, a question

So I'm a bit confused on the concept of array cycling and when to offline or not offline an array/silo.

My POS cycles every hour at a given time. Does that mean as long as I don't turn something off, and have it off during the minute that the POS cycles, I can safely offline at any other time to remove things from silos or reactors. Or, is there a window of time after or before the POS cycle that you have to offline the array, and have back online in order to not miss a cycle?

Appreciate any clarification you POS experts could share, would hate to find out I'm losing resources to not understanding the mechanics correctly.
THANKS!

As long as everything is online at the moment of the tick, all is good.

It takes time to online stuff, so keep that in mind.
