This is SO annoying. Is it really that hard to make a proper patch?

Please can we have the repair tool back? When this was working I never had to re-install from scratch.

Anyone tried to download the entire client yet? ( again)
Is it working? Can't believe this is happening so often...
Please fix it as soon as you can.

This is actually not exactly a patch problem, but rather the result of some cleanup tools removing "unnecessary files", resulting in this very specific issue of the patcher missing files that should be there in the first place for a full client installation. It has been discussed a while ago in this thread already:

Whitelisting the EVE Client in whatever cleanup tool you are using should prevent this from happening again for future patches.

hello and thanks for the quick reply.
Sadly, even using the manual patcher you suggested brings no better results.
Downloading the client again.
It's a bit odd that every mac player fear any patch day instead of waiting enthusiastically for it as the rest of the community.
I suggest you to give mac players a little more consideration because i'm sure we all feel neglected and more than often we must accept compromises and become offhanded technician to play decently.

I'm sure that a company this visionary and beared to excellency as ccp will do something about your mac client quality.
But please, do it:)

thanks and sorry for my crap english

now waiting the client to finish the download, my skill queue is inactive, i was wrong to trust it this time hehehCryCry

bye

edit: now working, Thanks

Alright, so i have used the Generic Patcher, that seems to have fixed the problem.

Linky
http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp

Despite the fact that using this generic patcher now fixed the issue temporarily, this is not the first time i have had to go this out of the way route before.

Im not sure if this is a "recources" problem at CCP, that they dont wish to cover Mac support, or there just arent enough users to justify a proper cleanup of the mac client. Whatever the reason is. Understand this IS frustrating us the end user greatly.

Did you read GM Karidor's response at all? No offense, but seems like a case of PEBKAC to me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCWIlXRFHO4&feature=youtu.be this is a video i made with the problems with iPatch i think it is very similar to what you are dealing with and i hope they do something i have only been playing 2 months and have to download the client every other day almost….. stop tweaking little things and fix the major issues!!! the funny part is they tell me this is not a reoccurring issue with anyone else, which i know now to be false. TwistedTwistedTwisted

Edit: I understand that some people say use the mac client update on the website. but what alot of people do not understand is with all the problems we have, i do not go farther than using it as a disk image so the update from the website does not see the program on my computer. and if you think that thats my problem that is wrong as well because regardless of how i access the program the patch does not work. i have tested it both ways

Edit 2: New Update when i got home from work today. Tried the mac manual update and fell flat on its face, not surprising.

I'm not using cleanMyMac and I'm still running into problems. Always downloading the full client ist definitely NOT an option for a paying customer.
I'm a developer myself and I know there are problems on different clients and such, but throwing every almost every mac client update down the pits is ... annoying at least.
Please don't let us mac users alone with that - I love this game so don't destroy this 7 yrs love.
Thanks
