and I have been responsible for the recent incursion interdiction or however you may call it.

Who am I and why should anyone care?

I was one of out three other leaders of the incursion community that made the original agreement to "farm" incursions back in April 2011. We were amazed and in awe of the isk earning possibilities that came with incursions and we were dead certain that CCP would come and nerf us anytime because of this artificial prolonging of incursions.
We didn't think our agreements would last more than a few weeks, not to say months or almost a year as they have lasted now.

Incursions were an awesome addition to the game and the gameplay was great in the beginning. After some time everything became more and more static, nothing new was really added and nothing was quite a surprise.
The only thing thing that kept me interested and actually participating was the community, the social aspect and then the great drama/politics/similar_BS that was involved in it.

Incursions still have a great potential to be iterated on and become a dynamic and realistic battlefield with a challenging UI that is able to train real FC's and simulate similar in-game PvP. Currently the majority of the "FC's" simply follow a guide that says, shoot x,y and then z. While it does teach people about the fleet window and co-operation it doesn't really prepare the fleet for different fleet compositions and maneuvers that they may utilize.

I and many others from the incursion community have been contacted by the CSM in regards to our ideas and solutions/fixes to incursions and we have given those to CCP.
While this is great and extremely appreciated I feared that CCP would simply de-prioritize incursions in relation to other features and that a proper iteration/fix/patch wouldn't be seen until late spring.
Thus I began plotting and planning. I knew that thousands of pilots participate in incursions every week and if their main activity was promptly shut down it would create an outcry loud enough to catch CCP's attention and especially if the threat of a continuing interdiction was implied upon.

I spoke with LFARM, Skunks and later on Bricks to organize our first assault. Had just one of them not shown up we had not been able to accomplish what we did. Therefore I personally thank each and everyone to showed up.
A forum post was created and a channel too thus making a part of the incursion community aware of this possible attack.
We scheduled the event and attacked the first mom in complete stealth (we might have spammed local chat ).

We managed to force the ending of two incursions leaving one highsec up. This was not everything I had hoped for, but it laid the grounds for a more extensive assault next time.
During the weekend there was, but one incursion up. We utilized this time by creating assault suicide fleets to discourage people in joining incursions and spread the news and stories about our activity to every incursion runner and potential recruits that wanted to join us.

On the next assault we had a good show up and managed to down the two only existing highsec incursions. This lead to the outcry I had hoped for and the incursion community were abruptly awaken from their activities and feared that this could be a fundamental change to their incursions as they had known them.
During Sunday the incursions appeared again and they were taken down again. This caused even more anger and hatred. The incursion runners were not amused.

During that time CCP had been forced to shut down 8 out of 9 threads on the front page of General Discussion and stated that everything incursion related should be discussed in that one thread. They also promised to have someone come and chip in regard the current "incursion issues". Later on Monday I believe CCP created a thread and made it sticky to get feedback from pilots on incursions and how they think it should be fixed.
That was great. I had maybe achieved one of my goals which was to show CCP that they should prioritize incursions and that many players are very fond of this feature while many other players believe it should be changed.
And when I say many players I mean pilots from everywhere in EVE. Highsec, lowsec, nullsec and w-space have pilots that would like to see incursions changed/iterated on.
