Confused about neural remaps

Hey there,

I wish I wasn’t asking this, because it seems stupid… but I’m confused as to when we get our yearly remap. I would have thought that we would get one each year at our characters birth.

However, when I used my second one today the time for next remap availability said this time next year, and not at my characters birthday next year.

So it seems like it starts timing at time of last remap. Which is really weird, but whatever. So if I only used one of my initial two remaps – could I expect to see a second remap added to my character around the time that I used my first? Or would it not give me a new remap ever since I never burned though the first two that came with my account making me perpetually stuck on one remap?

Thanks guys :D

You get new remap one year from when you used last one you had.

So if you don't use them all, you never get new one.

Yup, you get a new one exactly one year after you used up your last one.
All the previously "stored" remaps come either from character creation bonus (2, but actually, just 1, since you don't get to alter the 12+8/8/8/8/7cha base stats during character creation) or from past changes made by CCP (I have 3 stored - the "initial 2" and a bonus one from a while ago when they removed learnings - and my base attributes are quite literally impossible to get nowadays - 12+9/9/9/9/3cha, when 12+5=17 is the minimum in any attribute).
