Loki as a low sec explorer

Here's a fit I put together for LS scanning and radar/plexing/general exploring work, any criticisms and improvements please comment for me

Mostly I run in BR regions so I chose the loki for its strong base EM/kin resists, this fit has 370dps standard ammo, 426dps faction. Speed is 773 m/s and defence is 320, with the low sig and speed I think this is plenty.

If i pull a radar site i can swap the SBA for a codebreaker

please gief advices!

Fit specific Hardeners, and Im not convinced the damage rigs are worth it, as they are stacking penalised against the Gyros, but thats up to you.

Would fit tanking rigs myself, never know when you might need it.

If you're using a T3, you should be using an Expanded launcher with DSPs to check the sigs as an initial pass, with the scanning subsystem it's a whopping 2 CPU more to toss one on there (read this is you don't know about using DSPs).

Other than that (and trading the Invulns for an EM and Therm hardener), the fit doesn't look abysmally bad. However, you're a bit of a loot-pinata and your tank/DPS numbers are ok, but not stellar.

I would fit 425's and tracking rigs. Other wise I think it's fine.

do you have a scout for this when going into low-sec? I'm asking cause i'm by myself and was wondering the dangers of going to an unknown system bordering hi-sec

Honestly, about 70% of lowsec is more dead than not, you only really need to worry much in the gateway systems.

I've been thinking about training up the Loki for scanning down targets in null sec. Wouldn't this same fit work if you just swap in combat probes?

As long as you have the probing subsystem on there, you should be fine for probing most things (sisters probes are a given, and rigs are nice if it's a dedicated probing ship).
