ME and PE questions

When looking at a BPO (in contracts) that has been researched, I can see that waste % has changed easy enough. But PE has a set number - what's good what's not?

For example I was looking at the Scourge Heavy Missiles, one had PE 40, one had PE 60. I'm assuming higher is better, but we know what assumption is. Also, how high does it go? What exactly does that number mean?

Use this calculator to figure out the build times with each PE

http://zofu.no-ip.de/bpo

For Scourge Heavy Missiles (or are they now Trauma Heavy Missiles) the difference between PE30 and PE60 is 1 second per batch. Between PE15 and PE30 it is 1.5 seconds per batch. In this case 1 batch = 100 missiles.

Sooo.....is 60 the standard max for BPO's, or does each one differ?

There is no maximum.

Each BPO has different values as to how long it takes to build and PE can shorten that but the effect becomes insignificant much past PE15.

Shameless promotion
Blueprint calculator in my sig allows for you to play with the numbers involved a little more easily than the zofu one (which inspired it). Move a slider, see how it changes.

I'm definitely bookmarking that calculator. It's really well done.
