It's like they're not even trying to hide it anymore, isn't it. But I've heard s/he/it won't run again, so maybe it doesn't matter in the long run--providing TwoStep does run, and gets elected full member this time.

I always vote in these CSM things.

I pick my candidates by spitting a wad of gum at the monitor and voting for who it sticks to.

If you run and you are under my gum, you have my vote.

A lone voice crying in the wilderness is heard only by the rattlesnakes, and sech like. A lone CSM "pushing" for customizing the game to suit a lone CSM's vision of...the perfect game? (I guess) ... is so unrealistic, and grounded in goo the very idea of you being elected to anything is (to put it kindly) remote. The fact you can't detect that in your grand scheme if you stand back and look at it makes it doubly so.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

My "grand vision" is simply helping bring us back to, and then evolving from, what makes EVE great. In ways that I think will benefit most everyone, from the cariest of bears, to the hardest of the "hardcore (whatever that is)." What EVE could have been, what it may have been after Apocrypha, but before ::18 months:: (And Gods, if we only knew what awaited at the end of those ::18 months:: There would not be an EVE anymore, if we had, I strongly suspect.)

I'll ask again:

What is so wrong with a singular vision? Especially if a few people might actually agree with it?

Why must we automatically subsume ourselves to a more broadly-palatable level of mediocrity, simply because that's what everyone else does?

Everything about EVE, that makes it EVE is based on a singular, grand vision.

Because EVE could be "the perfect game," and in a way that I think a lot of us will agree with, and the prospect of helping contribute to that in however small a way is why I thought about standing for election, but you know what?

You can have your safe, easy, insipid, not-too-mentally-trying dullness, if that's truly what you want. And it does very much seem that way.

It would seem, that the EVE that once was, is soon to become just another ****** MMO.

Hey, the people have spoken, indeed! (And they will, in the next year or two at the most, see just how clearly they've been heard--At this rate I give EVE as we know it another 3-4 years, maximum.)
