Probing broken?

I haven't probed for cosmic sigs in a while, but when I tried today I got some weird behaviour...

When I use multiple probes on a cosmic signature it will randomly disappear if I use certain probe combinations.

See the attached screenshots - the 1st shows the sig as found with 4 probes, the 2nd pic shows using 5 probes and no scan result, the 3rd shows that the sig is still there and hadn't despawned in between the 1st and 2nd screenshots (note the time in lower-left corner).

Only seems to happen when using 4 or more probes and when the central probe is too close to the 'red dot' of the signature

I haven't tested this on other types of signature (ships etc)

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes I am having the same problem. Everything will be going fine then the sig vanishes when narrowing down. At first I thought maybe something about the probing mechanics have changed when i wasn't looking, but it seems that's not the case. I have two perfect skilled probing chars and neither one can successfully probe anything all of a sudden. Weird...

OK, i'm stupid. Just after posting to this thread i realized that it was user error after all. You need to check into your filter to make sure you have the right stuff checked off. I didn't remember there being a filter section under cosmic signatures.

reset your filter and try again

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Thank you for posting your solution. I'm going to go check my own filter now.
