Redundance in the fitting screen

When Incarna came we "lost" our former ship view in a station and we got a zoomable photo of the ship we were fitting from the captains quarters on the fitting screen.
Now that we can spin our ships again I see a little redundance in the zoomable photo of the ship you are starring at in the fitting screen.
Maybe you can add a tag or something that "locks" the zoom function of your ship when you are not in your captains quarters and "unlocks" it when you are?
Anytime I scroll thou my hangar to look for a module and haven't clicked the hangar yet, I zoom into my ship photo and get a better view of it but I think it is not necessary to have that for as long as you are not sitting on your couch and have some quafe.

This isn't a problem specifically with the fitting screen vs ship spinning. This is a problem that Eve has in general of deciding which window is active.

Basically, if you don't click "inside" a window (often times even the scrollbar doesn't count) your mouswheel actions will affect whatever window you were last messing with.

It's annoying and it would be nice if it worked better.

Frankly I vote for focus on mouseover rather than focus on click, or at least an option to do so.

The zoomable view was introduced for Tech 3 cruisers really, so pilots could see how the different sub systems looked as they added them. Not a huge necessity but at least players could see how good or not their cruisers looked in different configurations.
