whats the reason behind 3 character slots on 1 account.

i can see the benefits with 3 chars on one account, like scamming, cynoalts, PI alt, tradehub alt, suicide alt etc etc.
but what was ccps intention with those 3 slots? (hi skillqueue) i think they disturb a bit the game feeling, because ists like "look at my schizophrenia, im 3 in 1". i use my 2 alts slots on my account, and im fine with them, but i think they arent good for the game. i dont like the idea of having some fatarse in jita, while wanking in 0.0, or somewhere else. its like a legal exploit for everyone.
cpp should trash them. any thoughts?

My slots are filled with research characters. So no, don't trash them Infact I'd love to be able to have 10 per account! You can still only train or log into one at a time so it doesn't matter for me. Though it would mean reduced funds for ccp if they follow my idea (since I'd only need two accounts anymore.

However, take away additional chars and I'm ending my eve subs. I'm not going to pay for 15 accounts (instead of 5 now) just to hold my research business afloat.

this was acknowledged by the devs to be a mistake made early in the development stage but now they can't do anything about it. most players will quit if 2 or their alts are simply removed or forced into new accounts.

reason why this was done is probably because all other MMO games have multiple slots per account so they just did the most obvious thing without thinking.

in the end, they should change these caps for PI/R&D. problem solved, thrash the slots.

It doesn't solve other 'problems'. You can only skill one character at a time, spreading it over 3 characters is not an issue.

Training and then transferring alts to spare slots is cool too since no one gets an unfair advantage here, anyone can do it.

It's far too late for CCP to change it.

I wish the game only had the one character per account really. It would be nice to know that a scout, is a real scout and not some npc throw away alt. Also throw away cyno alts would never have existed. But, like what has already been said; the cat is out of the bag and you can't put it back in.

Another case of what if...

Ahar! If you don't like them, don't use them. I, for one, enjoy playing other races. It's amusing your list of "good for" involve such insidious things...maybe we should take advice from you with a LARGE grain of salt...the Salt Flats in Utah grain.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Alts are the only way for new players to catch up with hi-SP players.

I've played for 13 months, and have 49mil SP. This is only possible because it's spread across 3 characters. One of these graduates from training in 2 weeks, and will be merged with the second account- only possible because of the additional slots.
