I'll miss the name, but atleast it'll be a little more easier to find the mods I want...

When they went from being a cash drop to a regular drop I stopped caring about the name. (Yeah, I lot a lost of isk in the meta 0 changes...)

They renamed Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters?

That's so uncool. Cool

Is there a list of the mods they simplified the names of?

It's a shame they think us too stupid to be able to keep up with module names like that. :( It barely took me a couple weeks of playing with EFT to have most of them memorized. And they sounded awesome when saying what type of module you had on your ship.

Anyhow, I haven't been able to find much info on this. Link, anyone?

I'm really glad you have no idea what you're talking about. If you never changed anything that wasn't broken, advancements in technology would come to a sudden and crashing halt.

an Y-T8 what now?

Yittberium - Trilithium Digital Booster Rockects? Really? makes my ship go faster even though its a Warp Field Generator and has little to do with reaction mass and makes my ship go faster by screwing with the warp field generator hence why disruptors screw with it entirely?

Dont make no sense.

Next on list Laser cannons and assault launchers and missile launchers in general.

I like the names changes. I can now search for "10mn" and actually see all the cruiser-class prop mods, without having to remember the friggen names of the meta modules.

Bravo CCP for streamlining. \o/

Me too, I never really used names but icons on what to melt down and what to sell.

I really really dislike the renaming things. Just another way to dumb eve down. it worked for 8+ freakin years... *sigh*

That being said it doesn't 'break' the game. Just makes it less interesting.

Dumbing eve down requires removing water from the pool. They just added a filter system which removes the food coloring.

I approve this change. Honestly I'd love to see all modules have a logical naming convention based on Meta level. Especially those turrets. Oh and, please don't call medium sized lasers 'heavy'! It is confusing as hell. Mass appeal, people: make items less confusing to choose from - decreased learning curve - ??? - profit!

When I was in college, I drove Subcompact Economy Automobile A because is was cheap, efficient, and was easy to maintain. Later, after getting a leg up in my career and having a child, I gave by Subcompact Economy Automobile A to my daughter to help her learn and explore young adulthood. Sure, she had other options: Subcompact Economy Automobile B, Subcompact Economy Automobile C, and she even flirted with the notion of Compact Sport Automobile A. In the end, knowing the history that I had with my Subcompact Economy Automobile A, she chose the machine that had served her dad so well all those years.

For myself, I had a few options as well, now that there was extra room in the garage. Though the wife was a little nervous at first, she now loves the comfort and performance of our new Luxury Sport Coupe C. We're taking it right now to have some Standard Asian Noodle Dinner before we see Quirky Feel-Good Movie.

[Easier: perhaps. Better: nope.]
