Fuel Block Switchover + Oversized Fuel Bay

I looked through posts but couldn't find a answer , sorry if there has been a thread on this,

POS Fuel bay was doubled to make switchover easier. I currently have filled it to capacity with 10% current fuel and 90% fuel blocks, just so it saves me a little time fueling during the first 60 days or so.

On the 24th I assume the bay size will be halved and back to original capacity ?. Will I lose any fuel or will it just continue using the over-sized amount of blocks until it is back to normal. I suspect the latter but just wanted to make sure.
