Question:

I was Gal Militia for awhile and managed to earn myself a -7 standing with Caldari (after connection skills)

How do I go about repairing this??

Thanks

I believe Ammar storyline's give a slight caldari boost.

Also killing pirates in caldari space will give a slight faction bonus.

Do that until you can start running low level caldari missions

You should start by reading Faction Standing Repair Plan.

If I go and do the FW gallente plexes (first can I when not in FW) does that count toward positive cald standings?

Mirajane Cromwell pointed you in the right direction for the best info about most efficiently repairing your faction standings.

The updated forum link for DMCs 'plan' is at https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=10212&find=unread and that, in turn, leads you to the wiki page http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Faction_Standing_Repair_Plan.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

As someone who's switched sides twice (the loosing team always gets the most fights), it's a horrific grind. It took me around a week of grinding both times and that was a fairly fevered pace (i'm sure a true neckbeard could get it done in a weekend) by my standards.

I figured out after the second go around that grinding sec status was faster/more fun and went pirate instead. Twisted

Join some caldari militia player corporation, take some promotions. problem solved.
Fastest way is to pay for some caldari FW mission grinder to spilt mission for you.

edit: yes, taking fw plexes will raise state protectorate standing that affects to promotions, so basically if you take enough plexes you will get caldaari factions standing, only problem might be that if you have podded caldari militia members your state protectorate standing might be -10 so it takes a while to get 1st promotion (needs 1.0 state protectorate standing wihout skills)

Bad Messenger, I was thinking about doing that.

The problem I am facing (I am running the repair standing guide now) is that my standings are at -6 that I get chased around trying to do the training missions.

Any mission that forces me to stay in one place for 45+ secs results in the faction police coming. So I am constantly warping repairing and coming back.

(non courier missions)

Easy way is to make your self a noob alt do the help agent missions and make a corp for him once he has standings to join Caldari. At that point join the char u want standings for and go run some Caldari plexs til you can run lvl3 & 4 missions. Doing the missions is fastest way to get your faction standings back.

Keep in mind as your Caldari go back up your Gallente will go down. Just get your self back to a happy medium and stop.

Don't do the Cal missions yourself. Fleet with someone that can run level 4 missions for Cal Navy or something and just be in fleet when they collect. You don't even have to be in the same region to get the benefit.

Ok so next question, I got an alt and got him to .84 standing with caldari. He has the corp skills to create corporations etc. If I enter the corp into fw NOW withotu anyone in there and I then invite my main (bolster) will I still be shot at by teh faction police since bolster has a personal status of crap?

edit

crap, connections doesnt allow you to use those standings to join militia.

Also if I am the only member why is my corp standing lower then my personal (alt) standings to join the corporation for fw?

Yes you will still be shot at in any high sec areas your standings don't permit. Good thing is, as long as it's not bad sec status the faction Navy will just web you and send you on your way a tad bit faster than normal. They will; shoot you as well if you hang around.

Keep in mind that your char you are trying to fix standings on, will affect your alt's corp after 7 days. This means you need to get your standings in that week's time to keep from having that corp kicked out of the Militia.
