Crucible 1.1 means alliances can now join FW! Woohoo! As a FW pilot myself, I am curious as to whom I will be seeing in space.

So... has your alliance joined? Is your alliance planning on joining? On the side of which militia, and why?

Doesn't really make FW any more revelant...

I heard GoonSwarm was joining the Minmatar Militia.

It makes for free wardecs, if nothing else.

I heard Goonswarm is joining all of the militias, all at once. Giant alliances like Goonswarm may actually be detrimental to FW, though, as they can EASILY overpower one side by joining the other.

I don't think it would ever happen honestly.. getting 7000 people to have 2.0 standing with any specific faction would literally take an act of god (pick one, any god) and be subject to approval by Mittens..

They said that slowing ice mining wouldn't happen either. I, for one, fear the might of thousands of Goon members all grinding missions at the same time.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

What about FW corps forming alliances? Haven't heard much said about that.

Before any alliances join CCP have to find the missing militia button on the neocom.

This is pretty much what I see happening, it will break faction warfare even worse, you'll have goonies taking advantage of the fact they'll be able to gank a bunch of high sec carebears farming faction warfare missions in space and then people will either ragequit or give up on faction warfare altogether.

I suspect a lot of 0.0 folks as well who normally wouldn't bother entering high sec will use the opportunity to gank some of the carebears they hate so much too.

When I had an alt in FW a few years back, CVA probably had just as many Amarr corps KOS-listed as Minmatar corps, so I doubt it.

So my guess would be probably U'K or EM, in case they're still around.

EM is still around empire, but U'K and CVA seem to have lost themselves in the mire of 0.0 sov warfare, and left RP somewhere on the wayside. Meh.

FW corps forming alliances would be nice, though. Provides higher member count while maintaining sovereignty of corps, and while at the same time eliminating the incredibly spy-ridden Militia channel. It makes it easier for people to work together.
