I'm really not understanding why you would receive an escalation and not be able to finish it. Today I received a Serpentis Base Escalation into "Contract Killers" and I did not get the final escalation 3of3. I'm trying to understand the logic of this pve content. Is it there for tease material?

Getting an Escalation is based on a percentage chance, just like loot drops, otherwise known as RNG. Getting a Commander NPC spawn is also considered an escalation as well.

Unrated Cosmic Signature combat sites have a chance to escalate to Deadspace sites, up to 4 stages.
Cosmic Anomaly combat sites have a chance to escalate to DED combat site, 1 time.
DED rated combat sites don't escalate.

The main thing is don't expect an escalation to happen. That way you'll be pleasantly surprised when it does happen.

Just remember to have fun and don't give up, the more sites you run gives you a better chance of getting an escalation.

Randomness. Sounds broken to me.

If you get a random escalation the subsequent events should be guaranteed and not based on this mechanic of randomness. It would of been nice to do all 3 escalations on Contract Killers. The final escalation loot drop I could understand being random.
