EVE New Citizens Q&A

This is my first day on eve and i would like someone to play with. From my time on the game playing alone i believe i have learned alot and i can show you what i know and you will see i learn quickly. I need someone to play with that knows more then me (Not hard)

I agree with DMC with this and would also like to say that you are on the right path.

This game is very group friendly and this community is mostly very new player friendly. You should not have any problems finding experienced players that are willing to help you out. Some keys to success in this however are finding players that are doing the same kinds of things as you, have similar interests and in some cases located near you.

Many corps that are recruiting have public chat channels that are open to anyone to join. These corps are typically very eager to help new players and more than happy to answer many questions. Some of the ways that you can find these corps are:
-Through the recruiting section of the forums
-Through the in game recruitment UI.
-By doing a right-click > "show info" on players and then checking the description of their corp and then their alliance
-checking signatures on the forum for public channels.

I have named Caras public chat channel in my signature and I've seen other's in the forums.

The main thing is to just talk with people. Talk in local. Start conversations with people, just chat people up. You may find some people that don't want to be bothered but most people in this game are eager to help. Like the old saying goes " if at first you don't succeed, try and try again ".

So don't be afraid to be in several chat channels at once. There is absolutely nothing wrong with checking out several perspective corps at once or even just using their public chat channels to ask for advice. It is a very good idea to get to know the players of a corp before joining.
